Summer vacation had just ended and school was starting.
Sinan was a little shy boy who had just started high school. He lived in an apartment in the Üsküdar district, on a high point where the Marmara Sea could be seen(İstanbul: Constantinople).
Sinan was going to a different school than all of his closest friends in middle school.
He has been having problems lately with a few teenagers trying to sell drugs to students at his new school during the first days of school. A week ago, they had tried to forcefully grab the arm of one of the sweetest and kindest girls in her class and take her somewhere against her will.
While Sinan was normally someone who would never put himself in danger, he found himself fighting with these troublesome types. Things got very complicated when a tall and dirty-looking one pulled a knife.
Since then, both the number of villains and their goals had changed. They used to come to Sinan's school to sell pills or cigarettes. Sometimes to mess with the girls or to fool someone and have fun. Now their only aim was to take revenge on Sinan.
At 6 o'clock in the morning, Sinan was getting ready for school, which would start at 8.30. He had breakfast early and left home. He went down the road by sea and took a longer but safer path. It was a lot of fun to walk here as this road has a sea view.
It was 6:45 p.m. when he finally arrived at the school. There was no way the vagrant bastards had seen him before school start time.
At least he thought so.
He had approached the school gate and felt safe now. Just then, a group of several people between the two cars attacked him and pulled him into an alley.
"So you thought we couldn't find you when you came early, huh?"
A week ago, the scumbag holding İrem's arm and trying to do bad things to the girl spat in Sinan's face.
Then he kicked between his legs and took a knife out of his pocket.
It was then that Sinan realized that these children were not citizens of his own country, but rather refugees who had been in their country for the past few years. Although their appearance was somewhat reminiscent of the Turks, they were very different when looked closely. And the way they spoke their language was also revealing.
It was then that Sinan realized that his life was really in danger.
"Let me go!" He was kicked in the mouth and they spat on him two more times.
Sinan was sure that if they were normal punk kids, they would just beat him up and leave him. These things have been like this in his country for a long time. Even if there was a fight, the two sides would meet with their own group at a previously agreed place and then a collective fight would take place.
It wasn't normal to attack a lone person as a group or bring a knife into a fight like this.
Sinan struggled for the last time as he watched this tall bastard pierce his pants with his knife. He also tried to attack other bitches holding both arms and his head.
What should I do?
But his brain wasn't working properly.
He froze when he saw the knife approaching his throat. Then he saw the blade descend between his legs, like a grim reaper's scythe.
"I'll make you a woman. Then you'll bring me girls from your school. Or you'll die next time."
Even the most unsuccessful villains in second-rate movies wouldn't talk or make requests like that. But the sentences Sinan heard were spoken with very bad grammar. These children did not even bother to learn the language of the country they came to live in.
It was probably this tall one who knew a little Turkish among them.
But the others didn't seem even that knowledgeable or clever. All of them had extreme animal gestures and indifferent looks. They looked as if it wasn't a bad thing to cut another child their age.
Just when everything was going to end badly for this innocent and well-intentioned boy, a great noise was heard.
Someone came down from above Sinan and the four people holding him. By making a noise like a grenade falling to the ground.
Even with the pressure created by his body, the children holding Sinan scattered around. There was so much noise and wind.
He was tall and had black hair. He was a handsome man wearing a light brown suit. He was holding his briefcase very simply. He had a slight smile on his face.
He might seem like such a harmless and cute person in a normal time. Somehow you would have thought it was a model or a businessman or even a movie star. But now wasn't a normal time. Because there were cracks in the asphalt where this man landed.
The refugee children dispersed in fear, although none of them understood where this man had come from. Only the one with the knife was left behind. He was waiting on the spot, not because he didn't want to run away, but because he couldn't move. He looked at the man in fear.
What this man emitted, what he felt at that moment, was entirely directed towards him. In a matter of seconds, he began to feel the sense of death from those eyes.
Behind that smile was the cruel warning of someone who would kill him instantly.
He didn't know when the boy threw his knife on the ground or when he pissed under himself. When he found his other four friends, all he remembered was that he started running with all his strength.
Sinan, who was frozen with fear during the incident, sat on the ground and held the outstretched hand of the man who continued to smile at him.
"Are you okay?"
Sinan just nodded his head. He was having trouble speaking. He held on tightly to his bag, the bag that his mother had bought for him last month. He clasped his bag against his chest with both arms and smiled gratefully at the helping man.
"Thank you."
"The next time they want to do something to you, yell with all your might. Or if a gun is involved, bite off whoever grabs your arms and start running. If you're going to get hurt in any scenario, it's better to get hurt trying to escape than getting stabbed while you wait."
Sinan nodded.
Now that I think about it if they were going to hurt me in any way, why didn't I struggle harder?
"Can I learn your name?"
The tall and very handsome man wiped the dust off his trousers with a single swipe of his hand and looked at him a little.
"I'm Eren. I'm late for work, kid. Be careful."
Eren calmly walked out of the street and started walking in an uphill direction.
Sinan only came to his senses a minute after the event was over.
Still in the alley, he looked around curiously. There was neither a window nor a balcony. The closest a person could jump there was the roof of the three-story building next door and the bridge behind that roof. The events in this alley could not be seen from anywhere else.
"So he saw me crossing that thin bridge. Then he jumped from there to the roof of the building and from there to here? It's not possible.
I wonder if he is one of those people who do parkour or free running?
Just as Sinan was about to walk towards the school, he carefully looked at the spot where Eren landed next to him. He saw that there were cracks on the hard pitch-black asphalt.
After some poking with his own feet, the hard ground shattered and completely disintegrated.
Who was he?
..
In the following days, a 15-year-old boy named Sinan got rid of both the dangerous strays. And because he helped İrem, who was the most beautiful girl in his class, he had the attention of this cute girl.
İrem wanted to do everything with him in any class, whether it was solo or group work. She would run after him during breaks, talk to him all night on phone, and even walk home with him after school.
Like Sinan's biggest fan, she was constantly complimenting him, giving gifts and sometimes holding his hand.
Sinan unintentionally got a girlfriend.
..
But he was still terrified on the way to school and back home. He was even more worried, especially now that he had a defenseless angelic girl by his side to protect.
He had a traumatic problem because of his experience. As he was walking to school exactly one month after he was almost castrated, it occurred to him to wait on that bridge.
Maybe the person who saved him was using this road to work, huh?
Indeed, Eren passed through the same overpass again that day and passed through a narrow road leading between the buildings.
He had already felt that Sinan was following him. He had perception stats 3.5 times more advanced than a normal person. But he didn't say anything, knowing that this curious boy's motivations weren't bad.
When he arrived at his workplace, which is 6-7 minutes away from the boy's school, he looked at the boy watching the building he entered behind him.
His eyes suddenly focused on the boy's eyes, and he made eye contact and smiled. He didn't want it to be a scary experience, but the boy was very scared.
"Come closer."
Sinan approached timidly. "Good morning, brother Eren. I have no bad intentions."
[In Turkish you call someone older than you with both "title(brother, sister) + name (Eren, Emily). People don't use the names of someone older than them directly. It is considered rude. (Example: Brother Eren, Uncle Muhammet, Auntie Sofia, etc.)]
"I know your intentions weren't bad. If you run into similar trouble in the future, or when you don't have a job after school, you can come over here. I'll get you some tea or coke. What's your name?"
"My name is Sinan."
"Isn't it time for your school to start?"
"Oh! Yes. I still need to have breakfast with my girlfriend. Goodbye, Brother Eren. I'll come to visit you at noon!"
The enthusiastic and happy boy finally relaxed and started running towards his school.
Eren thought he was helping a traumatized child.
But a few hours later, when Sinan finished school and came to him, Eren didn't know whether to laugh or cry with what he heard.
"Can you be my master and make me strong, Brother Eren? I want to be your student."
Eren suddenly found himself in the middle of one of the eastern martial arts and adventure movies. Moreover, the role he would play in this scenario wasn't even the main character. He was expected to play the role of the mysterious and powerful master.
Hahahaha.....
Eren started laughing to himself. The other employees in the shop and even Mira, who was watching him from afar, saw Eren laugh like this for the first time in months.
Because Eren trusted his own luck, he believed that even this situation had a reason to happen. And he accepted the fate that was placed before him.
Since I'm supposed to be an enigmatic master, I'll do my duty in a way that puts movie legends to shame.
"Okay kid. I'll make an exception and accept you as a student. Bow down to your master."
Eren was very eager to experience such things. And he didn't realize that he was too carried away in this funny thing from the first moment.
