In a plain white room, furnished with a reading desk, and a wardrobe, a figure could be seen laying on the medium sized white.
The person, sporting pale skin with a hint of pink, long blondish white hair, long curvy lashes and full pink lips, stirred in his sleep.
His eyeballs behind their closed lids moved about like he was having an uncomfortable dream. He twisted and turned on the spot until finally he jerked up from the bed.
His figure, small and fragile, trembled and his eyes, hidden behind his hair had an expression of fear and confusion clear in them.
The boy, still shaken, placed his delicate hands over his chest, where is his heart was and tried to steady his breath.
Just when he was getting a hold of himself, the door to the room flew open and a younger boy rushed in
"Big bros!" The boy exclaimed rushing into the room and jump into the bed.
The older boy quickly masked his confusion and fear. A bright smile appeared on his face and a ruffled the young boy's hair.
"Mac, how are you?" he asked, his voice dry.
"Big bros, are you okay? Does your head hurt? Should I bring water?" Mac's young voice asked frantically grabbing Glenn's hand from his head.
Glenn smiled at the kid
"Mm, I need water" and that's all he needed to say for his younger brother to blot out of the room again.
Glenn chuckled lightly and turned to more important matters at hand. The room he currently is in was unfamiliar to him. The white walls and few furnitures made it look like it hadn't been used yet.
Glenn moved from the bed and walked to the window to the right of it. He pulled the curtains open and light poured in, momentarily blinding him.
When Glenn finally got used to the brightness, he looked outside the window and his jaws dropped.
"Holy shit, I'm not on earth anymore" he exclaimed in shock.
Outside, instead of the wooden, half collapsed houses, dirty streets and smoky air he was used to, he was confronted with the exert opposite.
From his position, he could see the streets, clean and busy with neatly dressed people going about their business. A horn blew, partly drowned by the sound of every other thing, and a motorcycle drove past.
Glenn saw stunned speechless when he sees a red turtle car drive down the empty express. A Car! In all his sixteen years on earth, Glenn hadn't even seen a tricycle talk less of a CAR!.
The air the blew in through the window was refreshing and carried a calming smell with it courtesy of the blooming peach trees around the place.
Glenn didn't know which part of the world he was in presently but he sure as hell felt like screaming from excitement at how beautiful it looked.
Having momentarily forgotten about his past worries, Glenn was startled when the door opened again.
He quickly turned around and saw Mac walk in holding a bottled water and behind him, Miss Lauren followed.
"Miss Lauren, what are you doing here?" Glenn asked from confused. He remembered sending Mac out of the house to the school in hope that the teacher would still be in the classroom. Since that was the case, doesn't that mean....
"I live here" Miss Lauren replied to Glenn's question with her signature soft, inviting smile. "How is your body?" she asks fully stepping into the room but doesn't close the door behind her.
"I brought you water" Mac said holding the bottled water to Glenn, having already opened the cap.
Glenn accepted it with a 'thanks', and brought it to his lips.
The second the liquid touched his tongue, Glenn realized just how thirsty he was and greedily drank the whole bottle of water. Only after he had finished the whole thing, did he feel like himself again and turned to his teacher
"I'm fine now. Thank you for saving me" he said, an appreciative expression on his face. It didn't take a genius to put two and two together and figure out who had saved him and Glenn wasn't stupid enough to doubt that Miss Lauren had been the one that saved him.
"What are you saying? Are you not my student?" Miss Lauren her smile growing when she saw Glenn was himself "What kind of a teacher would I be if I turn a blind eye when my student is in trouble"
"Big bros, Big sis Lauren beat up all the bad guys" Mac said "She even carried me on her back while doing it"
Mac sounded like an awe struck kid as he talked about the 'unbelivable' things Miss Lauren had done and how she had sent all the bad guys running the moment she got to the house.
Only when he was out of breath did he stop.
Miss Lauren sits on the bed and looked at Glenn as if trying to figure something out. After a moment, she spoke with a serious get concerned voice
"Did you offend someone Glenn?" she asked
Glenn was slightly taken apart by the question but he knew he had it coming anyways. With the shake of his head, Glenn replied;
"No ma. Back home, I only every talk to the neighbors when I need to and haven't offended anyone there before"
Next to him, Mac nodded in confirmation
"No?" Miss Lauren said thoughtfully "Perhaps, your parents had some enemies then?"
"I don't know about that" Glenn replied truthfully "My parents weren't very social from what I remember"
The room was silent for a moment and the two thought over why people would suddenly attack Glenn out of the blue. Suddenly, a young voice entered their ears
"Maybe, Big sis is the one who has an enemy?" Mac's voice resounded throughout the room
"What?" Miss Lauren asked, surprised that the young boy had something to say about the matter
Mac didn't back down and stated his opinion
"Big bros told me earlier that you weren't liked by the other teacher. What if those teachers were unhappy that Big sis has so many powerful students and decide to hurt them?"
A heavy silence hang over the room for a long while as the six year old words sink into Miss Lauren and Glenn's ears
"What?!" Miss Lauren shot up from her sitting position, a heavy aura of anger and killing intent escaped her in waves making Glenn and Mac chest heavy, weighed down by the invisible pressure.
Miss Lauren quickly came back to her senses when she saw their expressions but her anger didn't die down one bit.
Suddenly, she remembered she was a teacher of ten students. If what Mac said was correct, then the other nine, did they get attacked too?
Miss Lauren heart dropped at the thought and she immediately rushed out of the room without another word.
Glenn glanced at the clock on the wall. It was a little past seven which meant there was still a few minutes before school begins.
He was quite conflicted as to what to do. His and Mac's uniform were both back at the house and Glenn really didn't want to go back there just yet. However, he also didn't want to miss school.
"Big sis brought our uniforms here and also, your breakfast is in the kitchen" Mac said as if reading his older brother's mind.
Glenn smiled down at the boy and ruffled his hair
"Let's get ready then" he said
'Hopefully, the others didn't get attacked too he thought to himself as he led his brother out of the room.
