"Recently, I visited a friend and he gave me a sword" Glenn said and the Twin Moon Curve Swords appeared in his hand, cold thin blade shining in the light.
Turning to Conner, Glenn smiled lightly
"I don't have any use for a swore and my friend said it's the best for any new swordman." he said "You can have it"
Miss Lauren eyes grew wind and with a step, she appeared in front of Glenn, snatching the sword from his hand.
"Is that..." Miss Lauren was in shock when she held the sword and examined it closely like she was holding some treasure
"This is the legendary Twin Moon Curve Swords. It is an S ranked weapon that is worth billions and strength can go against even a level 50 awakener." Looking intensely at Glenn she asked "Who is this friend of yours"
Glenn eyes, behind his hair, were wide with panic.
His brain worked rapidly to make up an a story but he came up with a blank.
'Zero, what the hell? That is a legendary weapon?' he exclaimed in his mind
[Yes. I might or might not have missed putting that in the description. It's my bad this time] Zero replied, his voice sounding sheepish and nervous
'Shit, what am I supposed to tell Miss Lauren?'
[Just say you were just lying about the friend and you that it was given to you by your a master who took fancy on you when you were younger]
'Fuck, I'm not saying...'
"Glenn, are you okay?" Miss Lauren asked
Panicked, Glenn had no choice but to tell the story Zero had cooked up.
"Actually Ma, I didn't want to say earlier by the sword was actually given to me by a master who has been teaching me since I was a child" he said, clinging at how unbelievable it sounded but hoping the woman in front of him bought it "I didn't want to bring him up because he doesn't want people knowing about him yet"
The sharp look in Miss Lauren's eyes slowly dissolved into one of understanding and respect, no doubt for the mysterious master.
"That makes sense. However, are you sure this master of yours won't mind you giving the sword away?"
Sighing internally from relief, Glenn strengthen his back and nodded confidently
"Yes Ma'am. My master said what he has given to me is mine to do as I please with. Besides, I don't have any use for the sword"
Nodding again, Miss Lauren gave the two identical swords to Conner who collected it
"Although it's now yours, I advise you not to use this in public till you have the strength to protect in. The value of this sword is very high"
With that said, Miss Lauren returned o the front of the classroom.
Conner looked at the twin swords in his hands. They suddenly weight more than they looked. Thanks to his Sword Heart Attribute, he could feel unrestrained power inside the swords just waiting to be released. It was as if the weapon had a spirit inside of it.
Conner's grip on the sword tilt tightened and a small frown appeared on his face. However, he quickly hid this expression brightened
"Thank you" he said to Glenn who had gone back to reading his manuals
Looking up, Glenn smiled at the other boy and continued reading.
"Okay, now, I'll show you guys a basic skill which can be practiced by any attribute user" Miss Lauren said again gathering the attention of the students
"Naturally, there are Martial Skills and Soul Skills. Martial Skills are subdivided into Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Skills. Today, I'll show you all one of the Bronze ranked martial skills I learnt when I was your age"
Everyone paid full attention as Miss Lauren spoke. There were martial skills available in the school library which they can practice on their own but being thought by someone else was way more easier. It's after all easier to understand when you have seen it in action. For this reason, everyone was really attentive.
Miss Lauren stood at an attention, hands by her sides and breathing even. She knew this skill by heart but she had to perform it slowly so everyone understood.
"This Martial Skill is called The Serpent Strike. Although the name might sound grand, it's actually really isn't and can be learned by any awakener" Miss Lauren said
Slowly spreading her legs apart, Miss Lauren clinched her delicate fingers into a fist and punched out.
Her movement looked smooth and graceful and a the white like that is QI in physical form surrounded her fist and she punched out.
With a rush of wind, the energy flew out, over the heads of the students and collided with the classroom wall.
The wall glowed blue and absorbed to damage completely without leaving a trace.
Miss Lauren relaxed her posture and looked at her students. They all had their mouths open in shock of her display just now.
In truth, Miss Lauren hadn't even used 1% of her strength just now and what more, she only displayed the first level of level of the skill too.
"The major advantage of this skill is that it consumes little QI. It is however hard to master and so neglected by others." If you can master the first level alone, it'll definitely give you an adventure against others at your level" she explained
"I'll perform the skill a few more times than you can begin practicing yourself"
Glenn however didn't pay attention anymore after the first demonstration. His focus was on the now invincible blue screen in his vision.
