“Remus. Who’s this?”
Remus knew the moment he heard those words that he had screwed up.
His mother, for all that he was the golden child, didn’t like it when he seemed to threaten that mold she had for him. A good son. A polite one. One that wasn’t rude like Demarcus. Meaning that he didn’t flirt with the staff.
Remus knew he was being stupid when he kept coming back to Heather to chat just a moment longer. Knowing and being able to do something about it was two very different things though.
He’d never tell his brothers, even under threat of death, but his tastes in books weren’t confined to the classics. He did enjoy a good romance every now and then. Remus had always been critical of those characters. The ones who would be so stupid when interacting with their crush or making fools of themselves in an attempt to gain their favor.
