“What’s happened?!” Haley demanded as she burst into the warehouse, rushing to Bret who had a grim expression on his face.
“Not here,” and he quickly shuffled her into his office.

“And something did, Hales. Take a look.” He threw a folder down on the desk and Haley quickly snatched it up, flipping through the papers.

“No-nonono, these are the apartments that straddle the line between the districts. They’re where the middle class live and hold the people that help give our district most of its income. If we lose this, we won’t HAVE a middle class and the lower district will not just start to lose most of its revenue, but our entire economy will start to break down!”
