There are few things in life that Haley truly, actively hated. One was her ex-boyfriend. He burned her badly and while she was over him, she was not over what he’d done to her, and she doubted forgiveness would ever be on the table for them.
The other thing she hated was when people she placed trust in broke that trust—coincidentally that was also something her ex-boyfriend did. Right now, though, she was talking about her fellow hostesses.
It was a small dinner tonight at the Silvermane manor. She was apparently one of the preferred servers so while breakfast and lunch was often spent at the Parker manor, almost every other day, dinner was spent at the Silvermane’s.
It just so happened that her coworkers called in sick at the last minute and she, along with Gabby, were the only ones on tonight—and hearing Gabby curse out her coworkers for whatever social medial posting; they were not sick.
