Emily's POV
"I see" With my statement, Blake nods slowly. We stay silent the three of us for a few seconds and the blond guy speaks again: "Well, I guess I better get going, I was just stopping by to say hi. I'm a little late getting home."
"If you want we can give you a ride, I'm sure you don't live far from our house" Once again Nathan spoons in the conversation with mischief. Blake once again looks puzzled and the heads in his head seem to connect, remembering that conversation where he had mentioned to him that he no longer lived with Lana.
"No, no problem I don't want to misdirect them."
"No, no mess, we can take you with this piece of car I don't think it will take longer."
He replies with a tangible smugness that had me wanting to slam the car door against his testicles.
"He said no Nathan" I had to put a stop to his attitude. He was bordering on the limits of imbecility with his flippant comments.
I look at Blake with sad eyes, feeling guilty about something.
