Emily's POV
Lana on the other end of the line stifles a small scream audible above the static. I didn't understand what was so surprising to her but I was still grateful that she was listening to my sappiness with such excitement.
"So you're friends now? Friends with the hottest man in London?" he whispers with his lips pressed tightly to his interlocutor.
Surely Peter was out there next to her, so it wasn't very pertinent for him to hear his little boy's mother say that another man was sexier than him. Even if it was the truth, he didn't deserve that truth.
