Chapter 56 - This is no ordinary magic

The dark night sky, calm and quiet, was the view that Kendric's eyes saw in the dimness of the night, who was standing at the window of his room. The sound of crickets could be heard from the bushes in his yard.

His face was expressionless, looking into the distance with no clear object to look at. He just stood there, silent. Every night he passed in silence. He was used to the silence. He didn't know if he liked it. He didn't even remember, since when he had this habit, standing alone in the dark of his room, at the same window. This was a routine he did every night.

His eternal life makes him invulnerable and can stage without having to sleep for several days. He just let his breath inhale and exhale, at least he was aware that he was still alive.

The calm atmosphere of the night. Had to stop, suddenly, his chest tightened deeply. The veins in his neck popped out, hard. His light grey eyes, darkened, gleamed horribly. His jaw tightened. He knew what happened. Without waiting any longer, he disappeared from the dark of his room into thin air.

His figure appeared suddenly in Leigh bedroom, Kendric's angry face looked dark and terrible. Seeing what was in front of him. In a state of anger, fortunately his reasoning was still working, he quickly waved his hand, driving away the dark mist that enveloped Leigh and instantly disappeared. And Leigh immediately choked, took a deep breath, her chest puffed up. Devour oxygen greedily. Once satisfied, her body immediately lay flat on the bed. With gasping breath. But her eyes were still tightly closed. Reluctant to open up.

After making sure there was no dark aura covering the room. Kendric walked, approaching Leigh, where her body lay limp on the bed. His eyebrows were still knitted together. His face, which had previously been red because of anger consume him, began to recover and turned deathly pale, under the dim light of the neon lights, penetrating through the gaps in the window curtains.

Kendric sat on the edge of the bed, the bed sinking where he sat. His right hand rose, slowly reaching Leigh's forehead, where her eyebrows were deeply knit. Gently, he rubbed it. Gradually, the link between her eyebrows disappeared. Under the caress of Kendric's hand, Leigh's face turned peaceful. As peaceful as river water in the mountains untouched by humans.

Believe that Leigh fell asleep quietly and peacefully. His eyes immediately looked at the suitcase. Where the source of the dark aura mist coming out.

He waved his hand. The suitcase was lifted out of the corner of the room, lying on the floor. With a snap of his finger, the suitcase opened. One by one the clothes lifted to reveal the box he had seen and held the day before. The same box, opened by itself, followed by the cloth bag also opening. Necklace with a heart pendant with half shape heart hanging in the air.

There, he saw. The pendant that yesterday he had cleaned from the influence of black and dark magic. Somehow, sheathed the pendant again. In fact, this time, the black magic felt even darker, even the bluish-white gemstone had now become dark, pitch black.

'This is no ordinary magic' he thought to himself. He turned his face from the pendant necklace, towards Leigh who was now fast asleep, even her lips were smiling now. Indicates she is having a sweet dream. 'I don't think it's possible for me to leave this necklace with you anymore. Leigh, I'm sorry. I will replace it with one that is much more beautiful, high quality and valuable item when we meet again. Of course, when you're on your conscious state' at the end of his sentence he smiled a little. His angry face when he appeared in Leigh's room. Disappeared completely. Replaced by a gentle and loving face.

He turned again to the pendant which was still hanging in the air. With a flick of his finger the pendant slipped into a cloth bag, then into a unique box. The box disappeared instantly in front him. The contents of the suitcase are also arranged exactly as they were when it opened. The suitcase closed with a soft click, then flew off, tucked back into the corner of the room.

Finally, he looked back at Leigh and muttered "See you soon, Leigh" before he disappeared, he put up an invisible strong barrier at Leigh's house. No dark magic or anything with evil intentions could penetrate the barrier without his permission.

Not quite there, he also put protection on Leigh's body. Protection that can protect her against various evil magic and negative black and dark auras. He didn't want something like this to happen again, luckily this time, he moved fast, a little slower, he would lose Leigh.

Kendric did not imagine that his long, lonely life, momentarily finding a glimmer of hope, he would be lost again. He thought he wouldn't survive this again.

His figure appeared again, but not in his bedroom, but at a wild and dark cave door. Which looks messy, unkempt.

His feet stepped steadily, into the cave. He didn't need a lamp or any light to light his footsteps on the rocky road. His eyes shined on their own. As if it were a light in the darkness of the cave.

After walking quiet, a distance, go inside. He arrived in front of a room. Inside the room, the space looks well maintained, the opposite of what the outside of the cave looks like. Everything is neatly arranged. Torch light illuminates several corners of the cave walls. His footsteps were light, making the owner of the place unaware of his sudden arrival.

Kendric's eyes immediately found a figure, why did he come here for. Without further ado, "You have some nerve, Lancaste," his firm and deep voice boomed, alerting the cave's inhabitants.

Lancaster was amazed, shocked. The one thing she didn't expect was for the voice that roared in her chamber cave to appear before her. Because the last time they met, it ended with her having to lose most of her dark magic. Even she barely survived. If it weren't for Kendric giving her a chance. But on one condition, she cannot leave this cave. Because once she came out, her beautiful and perfect shape body would melt away in the sunlight, leaving nothing but ashes.

On the one hand, Lancaste felt grateful to be able to live longer, but on the other hand, she cursed that her freedom of life had been taken away from her. She couldn't hunt innocent souls, as she pleased. She could only wait for people to come and offer up innocent souls in return, by giving them what they want.

Unfortunately, without realizing it, she gave something she shouldn't have given. "M-my lord" she stammered. She immediately kowtowed, her body shaking violently. Just from the sound of his voice, she already knew. That he was furious. But she didn't know what made him angry. And what does it have to do with her.

She cursed the people who came to him asking for recompense, inwardly.

"I thought you couldn't cast dark and forbidden spells anymore, in fact I underestimated you," Kendric rebuked harshly and firmly. His eyes glared sharply at Lancaste.

"My lord, I'm sorry. What have I done wrong?" she asked in a voice shaking with fear, still hunched over, not daring to raise her head and look directly where Kendric was standing.

"You still have the guts to ask?" Kendric's intonation became higher and louder, making the cave walls vibrate. Appropriately, his voice has the power to destroy. "Who asked you to curse this pendant?" he asked sharply, demanding an instant answer.

Slowly, Lancaste raised her head, looking at the object in Kendric's hand, she didn't have the courage to look at Kendric's face, who she knew was currently in a state of anger. For a second, her eyes looked at the pendant in his hand. She immediately buried her head in the cave floor, deeply. "Th-that was requested by a man, I don't know his name. He simply asked, casting a dark and forbidden spell into the pendant he carried. I-I didn't ask what and who the pendant was for. I was just tempted by the rewards he brought at that time. I'm sorry My Lord. I don't know if that pendant was meant for you. I'm sorry, please don't kill me" Lancaste bent down and hit her forehead on the cave floor many times. Begging for mercy from Kendric.

He didn't think that the pendant that looked beautiful and innocent, before he cursed it, was a threat to her life. She whined there, continuing to beg to Kendric.

"I spare your life, because there are still things you have to fulfil, and you know that very well. But what do you do now?" This time Kendric's voice sounded calm but full of threats.
