Chapter 36 - Kill

The entire minute, he's calling Jeremy. Randall was staring at his back. His breath was ragged, and he couldn't believe that the runaways of the Telamur have known their identities. Could it be from their past spies' mission in the Telamur, slaying rebels, and everyone turned a blind eye on it? Could it be Theo was one of them who saw his face?

No, that couldn't be. Jeremy said he'd take care of it.

Leo got impatient and roared out, "Damn it!"

Randall has gone back to the mess and ushered Vincent and Etienne to take up the body. As their leader was losing their mind, Randall was the one who set the anchor of the ship and not let them get caught. Leo was still fighting on his cell phone, as if it can produce the answer he wanted to find out today.

"This is crazy!"

Leo stopped the limousine down to the Calvorite Hall's back. Even though he's body reeked of blood, he doesn't care about the staff who would notice his dark side. Someone would eventually find out. Why do they have to bother to hide it?

The rest of the Cassanos got surprised with his actions. They doesn't seem see Leo getting serious these past few days, but he's different now. Something kept on bugging him.

Leo climbed down quickly, holding a pistol on one hand, and ran to the door. He didn't even check on the Cassanos. Randall was the first one to retaliate, saying, "We need to follow him. We shouldn't cause a scene inside the Hall."

It made Vincent frantic about it. If something goes out of the plan, he was the first one to panic. Jon Cho remained calm. Whenever it gets serious, everyone stood up hurriedly, but he's going to sit down, like nothing had happened.

Randall and Etienne had the same ego and actions. Etienne shoved Vincent away, ordering, "The two of you should stay here. Vincent's panicking, and Jon Cho was too cool enough to get bothered."

Etienne's right. There's no way Vincent or Jon Cho could help. Etienne went out, fastening his black gloves, and Randall was on his foot. They checked their weapons inside, and made sure to throw Vincent his bullet bombs.

"Take care of that for a while. Jeremy Tyran might see that and asked why we used a certain product without his permission." Vincent clasped the bullets inside his hand. He nodded to the two. Etienne was the one who closed the door. They sped up to the Calvorite Hall, following Leo inside.

"Let go of me!" Leo ordered. The staff was ordered not to bother Jeremy from their work, but Leo wouldn't believe that.

"This… is… work! I'm here because of work purposes! Did you even see me carrying a gun on rest day?! No, right?!"

Leo even raised the gun and tilted his head to one side. The staff staggered back. Leo threatened them again by clicking the magazine.

Someone stepped forward, bowing down her head, announcing, "We need to follow orders from Mr. Jeremy Tyran about his work hours. I'm really sorry if you've been ordered not to come there, because he's the one who gave us the command. No matter how much---"

"Jeremy!" Leo has no mercy. He had to find out why the runaway knows them. His shout resonated all over the Calvorite, and eventually, reached Jeremy's ears.

Jeremy perked up from behind his desk, waited for the door to burst open, and there it goes. A bloody, sweaty Leo came inside, holding his pistol. He looked unmerciful. His eyes filled with wrath the moment he saw Jeremy behind the table.

Jeremy sighed, stood up with his hands inside his pockets.

"You just killed someone, aren't you?" Jeremy asked.

Leo didn't answer and just banged the door close. No one was allowed to disturb Jeremy when he's working, but someone broke off the rule. No other than the demon of the Cassanos, the leader of their dark desires, and the one who lives up to his name: Leo.

Leo traced his hands to the soft couch, wondering, "Where did you bought this sofa?"

Jeremy furrowed his eyebrows. What's his deal now? Leo's twisted, and even him, he couldn't read his mind. Jeremy tut, accompanied him, and approached him slowly.

"In Telamur, maybe a few years back. The items are very good there. You should go shopping for a while." Leo stopped midway from admiring the couch, and gritted his teeth. Jeremy stared at his back, contemplating the words he needed to say. Leo raised his eyebrows, turning to Jeremy.

"Wow. While we're killing someone somewhere in Telamur, you have some time to go shopping?" His voice was full of sarcasm. Jeremy's tongue rolled back down his throat, knowing how much Leo could be dangerous. He's ready, too. He's not entitled as the head sector of Idris for nothing.

Jeremy backed down from his despise. He cleared his throat, changing the conversation, "So, what are you doing here? Why are you interrupting me from my work?"

Leo narrowed his eyes. "Can't you see I just killed someone? He's one of the runaways of the Telamur named Theo. I blew his head off, too easy to catch him, not enough for the thrill."

The kind of report he would do every time he gets his hand dirty. Leo just had to forget it all at once, bury their names on the ground like it never existed. Jeremy looked at him with surprise, "You're still an expert on blowing heads off. So what's the deal? After you killed him, what happened?"

Leo should drop it. It's not just about kill. Theo knows something. He was just the one who put an end to it.

"Not after, Jeremy. But before, what happened before he died?"

Jeremy's eyes became curious. Leo was proficient on making the people get suspicious with his words, but now, he's a pro. Jeremy took a seat down on the sofa, motioning for Leo to do the same. But he didn't find it too much welcoming.

"I would just like to stand up since Theo's blood might stain right on the couch's cloth. It's too obvious I just did a crime in favor of Calvorite." Jeremy was about to order some cups of coffee, but hearing those words, it's not something of a little thing.

Jeremy turned to him, asking blatantly, "What's going on? You're acting suspicious right now."

Leo gripped the handle of the gun. "Clause 5, the spies' mission is confidential and couldn't be disclosed to everyone, including the staff of the Calvorite Hall, the politicians, the celebrities, or even the commoners."

What was it? Why is he stating the condition agreement?

"No one should know about us, Jeremy. But these particular runaway from Telamur knew us. He knew me, and the rest of the Cassanos. I'm threatening him to say if he knows us, and yes, he said the name of our group. Do you find this… confidential?" He reckoned.

Leo glared at Jeremy.

"Tell me this is the end of our missions and we're all going to jail!"

Leo let Jeremy take him under his wing, do the mission, carry out the execution, and even deal with the body later on. But Jeremy had broken the promise he had been keeping for a while.
