He cast a glance out the window. As lightning flashed, the black sky cracked. The moonlight reaches the earth's surface from behind the dark clouds. Zeryon's body was caught in the reflection. He was in excruciating pain.
"Argh!"
Since he was so busy during the day, Zeryon had forgotten it was the middle of the month. When the full moon crawled into the sky, it provided full light and purified the entire earth's surface. Include the essence of demons.
"Aargh!" he groaned aloud.
The agony returned. His fingers curled and clawed at his own body unknowingly. He hoped it would relieve the pain that was piercing his skin and spreading throughout his body, even into his bones.
Outside the room, footsteps could be heard. The door squeaked. Even though his vision was becoming blurry, he could still see the young woman enter the room and approach him.
