The young woman drew the white blanket over the small body of the black-haired girl. Her eyes were droopy, and it appeared that sleepiness was taking over.
Modesty's condition had been checked by the nurse, and she had passed the critical period, so she was transferred to a regular room.
Gina is unwilling to take the risk of bringing her sister home. She didn't want to make the same mistake twice. So she decided to follow all of the doctor's orders and stayed in the hospital for a few days.
"You're going home now, Gina?" Modesty asked as Gina rose from her chair.
"Of course not; I'll accompany you here."
Modesty smiled, and Gina also did the same. She was well aware that her sister was terrified of sleeping alone. She would accompany her without being asked. She went home on the afternoon, and she had brought a couple of clothes as well as some bread and mineral water to help settle her stomach.
