The Red Gem of Hostail Kingdom is the most desirable and most wanted kingdom in all of the Highlight Ocean. That's why we hid in the shadows.
My mother died in the war between the Green Gem of Perul. She was too risky. We didn't stop her. She wanted it to happen, she protected me.
Hi, I'm Kisha Whitlock, and I'm the daughter of a Great King, my dad, Landon Whitlock. It should be great, being protected in a kingdom filled with swords and guns? No.
My dream is to go outside, where my mother went. But no, Daddy wants me to be safe. I smell the same air everyday. I want to touch the snippy air, the beautiful leaves, but my father says no.
My royal room, filled with rubies, maids, and money. 'It's not enough' I think. I'm just missing something. Outside.
One of my maids come in the room, with a tray of steak for her and me. We were like best friends, and I give her at least 500 dollars every week to sneak out to the village.
Her name was Lara, and she was wealthy, because of me. She doesn't love me for my money, she loves me for me. She's been there for me every since I was 6. Unlike everybody else.
My father accepted the fact that I was best friends with one of the maids, and when she messes up something, my father gives her more chances, because she's the only thing to get my mind off wars.
My Father's job was to walk around, make bombs, and test guns. He also does it overnight. He does not care if any of us sleep unsure.
The phone starts ringing and Lara answers it. Lara had a worried look on her face.
"What's wrong?" I ask. Lara shook her head and opened her door out of my room. I quickly put on my slippers and hid in the shadows of the rails downstairs.
"Do you know what you did wrong?!" my father yells at Lara. "You didn't prepare the guns!! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO PREPARE THE GUNS, YOU IDIOT!!!"
A tear drops down my cheeks. I sob silently, still hearing echos from the wide castle.
"Kisha?" Lara and Daddy hear. It was too late to run. I straightened up my dress and wiped my tear with my tissue and went downstairs. My head was down filled with heartbreaking pain. I was angry at my father.
I stared at my father filled with rage. "Kisha, it's not what it looks like. I was just-"
My eyes flared, and I stepped in front of him. "Father, you deceive me. How dare you yell at my best friend, and expect me not to defend. Come on, Lara."
Lara looked back at Daddy and prayed to not get fired. I held her hand back to my room. As we finished our dinner, guards appeared at my door and took Lara away! I yelled as they went down the hallway, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HER YOU FOOLS!!!"
