His AI begins to mull over the matter while Owen focuses on driving. Fifteen minutes later, he had reached his moms house. Alighting from the car, he picks the lunch box and pressed sthe bell. The twins were the first set of people he saw.
Jin hugs his waist while Jinny took the lunch box from him and smiles brightly at him.
"Brother we have missed you so much." They both say.
Owen pats their head not used to having siblings. He didnt know how to react so he simply does what his sisters would usually do to him. He pats their head pulls them in for a hug.
The twins seem to be slightly surprised. Normally, Owen would only smile at them and look uncomfortable even when talking to them.
He walks to his mother who was rushing towards him and pulls her in for a warm hug.
He had missed that motherly touch.
"Silly child. You promised you would come visit this morning. If I hadnt sent over a lunch box, would you not have remembered to come see me?" She places her hand to his cheek as tears fill her eyes. Giving him a look all over the body, she pats her chest. She had thought she had already lost a child and was already blaming herself for not taking better care of him.
Now that he is back, she would do her best to stand by him.
At a huge mansion in Estate Green, a young lady walks into the mansion giving the flowers she brought to the family's butler.
An old man with grey hair and a walking stick walks towards her while she rushes to him. Pulling his soft bones in for a warm hug, she pats him on the back.
"Did you not want to come visit grandfather again?" The old questions feeling sad upon seeing that she had lost weight again. "Look at your bones, Opehlia, are you even eating?"
Ophelia helps the man walk back to his study . After helping him sit comfortably, she takes her seat opposite him. "Grandfather, it isn't like that. Ophelia has been very busy. I am sorry. I will come to visit grabdfather more often." She looks around the study before asking him. "Grandfather how has your health been?"
The old man adjusts his gold frames glasses and looks at her face properly before answering. "I went to the hospital last week. The doctor said all will be fine if my favourite granddaughter comes to visit often."
Ophelia laughs at his word. "Then, I guess I should come and spend the week end with you some time later." The house seems quiet afte everyone moved out. To avoid embarrassment, and silly family members, she had decided to stay on her own. Now that almost everyone was gone, grandfather must be lonely being alone in such a huge house. But the man is stubborn and loves what he does. He wouldn't leave the mansion unless he was dragged off.
"Good good." He adjusted his glasses again and picks a paper by his side. " What was it you wanted to ask me?"
"Right…" she brings out the paper she had placed some sooth in and hands it to her grandfather.. "one of my friend asked me to look at this for him. Actually grandfather, a plant that look slightly pink suddenly turns black and started to disintegrate. What could that mean?"
Her grandfather, Supreme Master of Energised plants, removed his glasses and reaplaces it with another smaller one. He looks intently at the black dust, before glancing at her. He wraps the paper back and places it on a box he found next to him.
"I will look at it later. Tell me, which sort of plant is it?" He was trying to test his granddaughter. He had been teaching Ophelia about plnts as she has been interested in it since little.
"Grandfather, I dare not say. I dont want to jump into conclusions."
The old man glanced at the box he had paced the paper in and smiles softly. "Which means you have a guess already. Tell me." he encouraged.
"Grandfather, remember the time you told me about the plants that grow in the Calila mountain," the mans old ears perked up, he sits upright. "What did you say about the three Calila plants?"
He tilts his head to the shelf behind her. "Bring me the book of enormous energy plants from that shelf."
Ophelia walks to the shelf and searches for the book her grandfather was talking about. When she finds it, she went back to take her seat.
"Find the chapter on the Calila plants."
The book was already old with age and so she was extra careful when opening it. This kind of books that grandfather keeps in his private study, must be really important.
When she found the page, she begins to read about it. "The red Calila plant is the most dangerous and is very poisonous. If absorbed can only be defected by the white Calila plant which gives pure energy but is very scarce to find. The pink Calila plant sits in the middle. Having the ability to grant pure energy and poison." She sighs and asks the old man. "Why is the pink plant poisonous too? Should it not be neutral?"
Her grandfather smile faintly, a mysterious look in his deep brown eyes. "The pink Calila plant isnt as special as it sounds. It only has two main jobs and cannot perform both tasks at the same time. It absorbs bad and evil energy and cleans its surroundings but it also gives pure energy to people." He removes his glasses and wipes his eyes with his handkerchief. "When it absorbs bad energy, it can no longer give pure energy. If one tries to absorb the energy after it has absorbed bad energy, that is when it will poison the persons core. And it becomes useless since the pure energy has been absorbed and can no longer absorb bad energy."
Ophelia stares at the huge book in her lap and smile faintly. It is excatly as she had thought.
"What could cause it to turn faint pink?"
"It only happens when it had absorbed bad energy." He answers. "Did you see it turn slightly pink? The plant is not that common, whoever has it must be from one of the founding families or influential enough to get it."
"What if it turns into black sooth?"
