"A thousand years ago, powerful families existed, but only five of them belonged to the most powerful ones; Lee, Viotto, Levisay, Damaris, and Axford. These families, also called clans, have a strong bond that one cannot break. Each family has a golden dragon pendant to symbolize their strong friendship.
But there are no happy endings. After a hundred years, a conflict has risen to ruin this comradeship. Everyone was mad at each other; everyone turned their backs and never communicated again. Regardless of what happened, the Lee clan stayed on top of the hierarchy, not minding the other families fighting for higher ranks. The Lee clan isolated themselves and created new strict rules for the family members to follow. One of the strict rules was about marriage. The Lee clan despised others, which made the head decide not to wed other families; to avoid these people's blood lurking under their lineage. Ridiculous regulation as it was, none of them disobeyed.
As this top clan grew more assertive as years passed, there was only one problem - modernization. The world is constantly changing; even the powerful ones cannot prevent it. The current head declared a judgment at that time, '... Continue obliging the rules, but keep all in secrecy; anyone who violates receives torture.'
Until now, none has confirmed that the existences of these families are actual, but most researchers and archaeologists' attention are focused on one point- to find the five golden dragon pendants said to be one of the purest treasures of all." Adam closed the book he bought a few hours ago. These family legends are famous these days, and he doesn't know how they received lots of attention. Adam heard that one historian spent decades studying the previous clans, wrote all possible shreds of evidence about their existence, published it into a book, and vanished. Quite funny, but he cannot deny that this book is a bit convincing.
He placed the book on his chest before massaging his head. He is lying down on a couch in the living room. He is with his childhood friend, Luke. On the other hand, Luke was busy playing a video game on his phone, not minding his friend's business.
"Luke, I'm bored," Adam whined, fidgeting with his fingers. His other friend, Snow, is in the company right now. The woman doesn't want him to join him, so he has no choice but to stay in this house, getting ignored by Luke.
"Should I call my girlfriend? No? I think she is also busy." He grabbed his phone from his pocket, scanning through it. But social media is also boring these days. He sighed, surrendering to the boredom that was eating him. At this hour, Adam is already talking to himself. Glad he is not in public, or other people might see him weird.
"Luke, talk to me. I am losing it." He declared. Luke finally looked at him with a poker face. He picked the nearest throw pillow his hand could reach and threw it to Adam, making the last whine. "What the hell?" He asked with a frown, hitting the pillow back to Luke, but his quick reflexes made him dodge it.
"No one loves me," Adam announced as he stood up and went to his room. Luke rolled his eyes when he received a call from Snow. "Yes?" He answered. "I'm going home late. Tell Adam to check his emails. The director said he did not reply to him last night." Luke can hear some laughs on the other line, indicating that she is in the practice room with her members. "Uh, he just walked out, throwing a tantrum because I kept on ignoring him for the past hour." He received a chuckle from the woman. "Make sure to tell him. I'll hang up now." The man did not have the chance to answer, for Snow had already ended the call. He heaves a sigh. He can't believe he managed to live with the two for more than a decade.
Some people might find it funny for two men and a woman to live in the same household, but they grew up living together - without a guardian or a parent. They have already grown out of it; it is typical to live together. Only a few people knew about their situation, and they did not receive any disagreement either. People will only criticize you if they don't know the authentic story.

"Adam, open the door," Luke called, knocking on his room's door. It didn't take a minute when Adam opened the door. His hair is wet, and he is brushing his teeth when he hears his friend call.
"Snow called, saying that you must check your emails. It seems like the director emailed you." Luke's word made Adam frown. "I know. I don't want to answer because he is talking about shit again." From his answer, Luke rolled his eyes; that was the second time within an hour.
"I'll cook dinner now. Get down in an hour." He replied as he turned his back to the other man.
"Alright, whatever," Adam answered before closing the door.
