Chapter 3 - CHAPTER THREE: VENUS

Three days after recording their final act, AXIS has finally achieved the vacation they are waiting for, except for one member. Sadly, W:7 is returning for an album, a nightmare for her. The company asked her to create music along with the boy group. She wants to reject it, but Adam already accepted the deal a few weeks ago. She almost threw the man into the cliff after hearing it; thank goodness she can now control her temper.

"You are reading that mythology book again?" Adam raised a question when he entered the studio. He was holding two large iced coffee, one for him and the other for Snow. Adam placed the coffee at the center table before Snow picked it up to take a sip. The other guy, Luke, was running personal errands, so he is not with them today.

"Did you know that Typhon almost killed Zeus?" She asked as she flipped another page of the book.

"I don't know, and I don't care," Adam answered.

Snow glared at him. "Stop acting like you don't." She rolled her eyes before continuing to read the book.

Snow loves to read books. Whenever she has time, she never forgets to grab a book and learn something new.

"Ah, by the way," Adam paused.

"A meeting with W:7 three days from now at XX building. Make sure to be there." He continued.

Adam stood there after informing Snow, but the woman did not answer him after minutes of waiting. She did not bother to pay a glance or anything; she continued what she was doing. Adam sighed, shaking his head as he left the room. Snow is so stubborn. She should at least show a bit of interest in this work because that what's she does. She is one of the best artists ever debuted, yet she doesn't care. Hell — she'll do whatever Adam says anyway.

Adam began walking to the studio. Yes, the house they are all living in is enormous. It has three floors with a rooftop, a big swimming pool, a studio, six bedrooms, a gym, and a huge backyard. Living with three people having different interests is a high-maintenance, that is why there is a lot of entertainment room at this house; more like their cave.

He opened the studio's door and lay down on a couch. Ha, this is better, he thought to himself. He loves sleeping in the studio, which is a bit colder than other rooms. He was about to close his eyes when his phone rang. It was Luke who was calling him.

He put the call in speaker mode and placed it on his chest.

"What's up?" He asked, yawning after.

"I'm not coming home today, and I have important things to do," Luke said from the other line.

"We have a meeting three days from now. You know that, right? Make sure to finish that right away." He answered.

The man on the other line laughed, "Yeah. This is done after a day. Make sure to watch n–" Luke did not finish his sentence because Adam had ended the call.

"Fucker." He muttered before turning off his phone. He heaves a sigh as he tries to fall asleep.

"Hey, wake up." Adam hummed when he heard someone calling him. He can feel that the person waking him up is kicking his thighs, irritating him. He quickly opened his eyes and saw Snow, brows furrowed, welcoming him.

"Goodness. Can't you wake up in one call?" She rolled her eyes before sitting on a swivel chair. Snow crossed her arms on her chest and glared at the man.

"The hell. I was tired. What do you want?" He sat up, massaging his head. The headache is hitting him because then he woke up suddenly. How long has he been asleep?

He looked at the wall clock and saw it was already 6:30 in the evening. Knowing what the time was, he went back from lying down, but Snow threw a pen at him. "What?!" He angrily asked. The woman is unbothered.

"Why did you propose the song, 'Venus,' for W:7? I wrote that for our group, not them." She raised her brow at the man.

"What do you mean? I asked you last month if you would use that song in the future, and you answered 'no.'" He replied.

"I did?"

"Yeah." Adam groaned because of the headache. He went back to lying on the couch. He heard Snow turn around because of the chair and begin turning on the computer.

"What are you doing?" The man asked, now facing the woman's back, who was busy clicking on the keyboard.

"Nothing. I want to try could create a demo today. Venus is a hard song; the album needs strong B-tracks to balance it." Snow explained, picking up the headset and wearing it.

That's the cue of his friend not to disturb him. Snow's passion is making music; that is why he doesn't want to upset her, for if Snow gets into the 'zone,' she'll make a good song again. Right now, bothering her won't help. Besides, this is a good time to sleep again, though he is a bit hungry; a pizza and beer would be good.

"You're thinking of having pizza and beer, aren't you?" Snow turned her head as she asked her friend, who gasped because of her question. How did she know?

He removed the thought. Being friends and living together, there's no way we didn't know what was happening inside their minds. It is like the three are already connected.

"Maybe." He responded.

"Let's get that after this." She replied, facing the computer again.

Venus. Venus. Snow thought.

She closed her eyes and tapped the pen gently into his head. It hasn't started yet, but she cannot think already.

Venus, a song of revenge that she wrote a few years ago. Pop music that the producers from their company loved when they first heard it. "This song will hit charts!" She remembered what one of the producers said long ago. The choreography is finished a few years back because of Luke. Everything in the production of Venus has ended, except for the group who must sing it and album preparations. Snow honestly wants this song for their group, but Adam tells her that she said she doesn't need this song anymore for future purposes. It made her regret saying those things.

W:7 is a famous multi-talented group. Snow hopes that they will put justice to the song.

A FEW YEARS BACK...

"Have you sent this to the CEO?" Anton, one of the producers, asked. Snow asked for feedback for her newly created song, 'Venus,' to him for Snow trusts Anton when it comes to pop music.

"Not yet. I just finished writing Venus a few hours ago, and I need feedback. Adam and Luke are busy, so I asked you." She replied.

"Ouch." Anton held his chest, acting like he was hurt.

"But this is amazing. This song will hit charts!" He exclaimed with a smile on his face. "You're talented, Snow." He added.

Snow smiled bitterly. "You're talented, Snow." Her head hurts, for the same sentence comes into her mind. A particular person told her those words before, too. She bit his lip for a sudden pain she felt in her chest. She gripped into her clothes. "I am?" She asked, trying not to cry in front of the producer.

"You're doubting yourself again?" Anton questioned her.

She stood up, making Anton flinch. "I'm sorry. I'm going." She said before walking out, leaving the song lyrics with the producer.

"Ah. Why did it come to my mind?" She shook her head and closed her eyes again. She have to focus if she wants to create one track at least today.

But the thought of what happened in the past keeps hunting her every time she closes her eyes.

Like it is telling her that she cannot escape the darkness that has been following her since childhood.
