No time later, Terla was already in her room.
Just by using teleport formation multiple times, she is already almost out of magic and exhausted. So she decided to go straight to bed.
But… the little spirit beside her doesn't seem to have the same idea. She kept whirling around her, trying to get Terla out of bed.
Terla soon got annoyed and asked, "What is it?"
The little spirit flew to a table where the book she brought was on and rested on it.
"You want me to read it?"
The little spirit nodded.
"Now?"
"But I'm tired. I might not seem but…" *sigh*
"Okay."
Terla slowly got up from the bed and reached out to the book.
"Art of Spirit ?" She read out the book cover and started reading the introduction.

[ Spirit. Born from Nature and which embodies magic. They are magic and they consume magic. They are celestial beings blending in the Nature itself that humans barely notice. So in other words, they are our neighbors living in a whole separate world. As far as I could research, there are spirits which embody light, namely 'Light Spirit', conversely, there are 'Dark Spirits'; those who live for materialism such as 'Spirit of Fortune' and 'Spirit of Poverty', and spirits borned from different elements of nature, 'Fire Spirit', 'Water Spirit', etc. They are so innumerable that even I, who devoted my whole life to it, still can't grasp a tail of it. They have their own abilities according to their expected attribute.
Now…, there are very few humans, lucky enough to be blessed by nature. They are one in a million kinds of people, who are born with pure magic, the very origin of all magics. They possess a very rare ability which enables them to communicate with spirits and summon them. For some, who are fortunate, they are favored by spirits and can make contracts. As mentioned above, spirits feed on magic. They can live until the magic in them runs out. Ordinary spirits live on specks of nature's magic.
They are called lower-grade spirits. Depending on the magic they contain or need, their status differs from lower-grade to Spirit Kings. So, by contracting to human beings with pure magic, they get magic to depend on and humans, in turn, can borrow their abilities and protection.
But…, everything comes with a price. These spiritualists as their power awakens, lose other types of magic they had before. Once awakened, it can turn a 'gifted' to an 'inept'. There are those who didn't realize their real gift and died as a normal person.
There are also those, who did realize but couldn't control or died from an explosion of magic power.
There still leave those types of people, swamped by greed, becoming evil.
They either end up devoured by magic or possessed by evil spirits.
So, if you are looking for massive power, this is not for you. Please leave at once.

For those with good wills, this is a book I wrote in exchange of my life, thus I hope it will have a good use to you.]
After reading the introduction, Terla now understands why the little spirit wanted her to read the book so desperately.
Terla looked at the little spirit lying quietly beside the book as if waiting for something.
Thus, she decided to read more.
*flutter*
But to her surprise, the second page was not letters but a rune and a chant with a footnote which says…
[ As long as you embody pure magic, you can communicate and summon spirits. To summon a spirit, a certain rune and a chant are needed. Types of runes and chants vary with different types of spirit. Illustrated above is a rune for summoning 'Light Spirits'. If you are favored by a spirit, you can make a contract with them. But don't force yourself without enough magic.
Tip: You can also use stones with pure magic to make up for the lacking magic.]
After reading the footnote, the little spirit beside her is already flying cheerfully around her.
' She is in a form of light glow, so she might be a 'Light Spirit'.'
Terla: "You…, are you a 'Light Spirit'?"
The little spirit moves up and down, and agrees.
"But, although I don't know why I can see you, I am not a spiritualist like you are expecting…Sorry, but I can't help you."
" I lost almost all my magic when I turned 16 and my magic power hasn't been able to pass 3 stones since then…and it's likely that I will never recover them…"
Unlike the depressed Terla, the little spirit doesn't give up.
It flew to the book and pointed out a certain sentence…
[ …These spiritualists as their power awakens, lose other types of magic they had before.]
Terla understood the words.
Unconsciously, she too was hoping she is one of them.
She was just being reluctant in fear of disappointing herself again.
She looked back–and-forth between the words and the little spirit.
After much pondering, she intuitively reached out to the book and copied the rune on the desk.
She looked at the little spirit whirling in the air and asked…
" You…ready? Don't be disappointed after this, okay?"
This question…, she was saying to the little spirit but to herself too.
She then incited the chant as she poured all the magic left within her.
( A.N : I'm replacing "Formation" with "Rune" since it sounds more fantasy.
Hope you agree.)
