Yawning and stretching while he woke up from his nap, Chan quickly washed his face and tied up his hair. His hair has become quite long as it has been months since he cut it.
After tying his hair, bored, Chan wanted to go train for a little bit before returning to the banquet.
His usual training area near the garden of life was quite a ways away from the feast grounds, so his chances of someone seeing him were quite low.
Chan realized that he napped for a while, when he stepped outside, he was greeted by 2 full moons beautifully lighting up the sky.
The chatters from the banquet were quite loud and could be heard from inside the house, but faded away as he got closer to his training area.
Far away from the cheering and liveliness of the banquet, the training area was quiet and only the wind could be heard as it goes by.
Running into the shack and retrieving a sword and shield from the pile of many like it, as Ren had stocked-pile plenty of swords and shields because of Chan's ability to destroy them during the training session.
Chan came out with a sword and shield in each hand and started to just have fun and move around while swinging and stabbing.
Lost in his training, Chan knew to not use ki because what if someone other than his family and teacher witnessed him using ki. His family will be no longer able to protect him.
His concern of someone seeing him did come true, but since he wasn't using ki, all they saw was a kid playing with a sword and shield.
With his last movement in his exercise, Chan charged in with a stab.
Thrusting his sword then pushed off his left foot to spin and slashed horizontally.
( Whoosh! )
His last slash, cut the wind.
"Nice, that should be all. Let me quickly return to the banquet before they realized I was away for too long." Chan thought to himself as he quickly ran back inside the shack to put back his weapons.
Right as he walked out the door of the shack he could hear the sound of someone clapping from the direction of the garden of life.
( Clap! Clap! Clap! )
The moonlight came down enhancing the mysterious girl's beauty. Her silky light brown hair shined when the light hit it. Her face was that of a model. Even in her dress, Chan could see the figure of her body.
His heart beating faster as the lady walked closer to him before the silence was broken when the lady complimented Chan, "Wow you're quite good for your age.".
Flustered by the girl's beauty Chan couldn't respond.
"Awww, you're so shy. That is so cute." said the girl.
Finally mustering up his courage Chan replied, "Thank you for the compliment but I have to get going.".
"I also have to get going too." replied the girl.
Chan making his way towards the banquet was followed by the girl. Even if they had the same destination every time Chan picked up or slowed down his pace the girl would also do the same.
Unbeknown to Chan the girl was curious as to who Chan was and is following him to find out what family Chan is from.
Instead of going around his house, he went inside to lead the girl on a wild goose chase. He ran through the halls switching left and right making his way towards the library as he knew the library had a hidden second level above.
( Thump! )
Chan quickly closed the library door and climbed the ladder up to the higher shelves and quickly ran across to a hidden compartment where the books about the Ibu family secrets were held.
Staying in there for a few minutes and not hearing the library door open Chan came out slowly looking around, just in case she was there.
Making his way down, he slowly creaks open the door, checking to see if the coast was clear. "Whew! She is gone. Time to head back out." Chan said to himself.
Chan finally made it back to the banquet and was stopped by one of the servants who told him, that his father wanted him to meet some people and introduce himself, as they were very important guests, also that they were at the front of the feast ground with Lord Ibu.
Getting close to the front of the feast ground Chan could see his father and Po talking to a group of people. His father was speaking to the older people as Po was talking to the younger ones.
Making his way behind his father and brother, Chan could hear his father having a good conversation with the people he was talking to, while Po's conversation was quite awkward as it felt like an interview as Po was the only one answering questions.
Chan tapped on Po's back to reveal his presence.
Po turned around and quickly introduce Chan to those he was talking with.
Chan's face went blank as he noticed the girl he had just escaped from was laughing when she saw Chan.
The group of People Po was talking to had 4 people in it. One guy that looked like Po's age, two kids who looked older than Chan, and lastly the girl that Chan had just run away from.
The guy, close to Po's age lightly tapped the girl with his elbow before saying, "What is so funny that you're laughing so hard?".
"Nothing I just remembered something funny." the girl answered.
"Well stop. I'm sorry for my sister acting rude, my name is Ed Mi, the second prince of the Mi Kingdom." The guy introduced himself as he reached his hand out to shake Chan's hand.
Shaking Ed's hand Chan also introduced himself as the second son of Lord Ibu.
"This is my twin sister, Yan Mi, and younger sister and brother, Su Mi and Len Mi."
After the small talk, Chan tried his best to break away from the group with the excuse of saying he has to use the bathroom.
Walking quickly he stop as he heard someone yell out his name.
"Chan!"
Instead of looking back he just kept walking as he had already recognized the voice.
He could hear and feel the footstep of the person who just called out his name coming closer until a hand placed itself on his left shoulder.
"Why are you always running away from me even when you know who I am?" the voice said.
Turning around it was Yan Mi, the first princess of Mi.
Chan finally broke and told her, "Because I think you're pretty!". Chan not knowing why he would say that out loud, think that it was probably because he was stuck in a child's body and kids would say whatever is on their minds.
Yan Mi faced blushed as she heard Chan's answer. Hearing a cute kid call her pretty was not something she would've expected.
"That doesn't mean you should just ignore me." Yan Mi told Chan.
Not knowing how to respond Chan just look the other way and continued to walk away.
This time instead of trying to get away Chan didn't care anymore and made his way into the library. Whenever Chan felt any feeling he couldn't control or any problems he was having, reading a book or just being in the library calmed him down.
Ignoring Yan's presence, Chan just did what he would usually do in the library, which is grabbing a book and sitting down to read it.
Trying his best to ignore her, he just couldn't help but see her pretty face staring at him in the corner of his eye. He just could hold it in anymore, he put down his book and asked her, "What is it, what do you want?".
"Haha, I just think you're interesting. A kid who's younger than my younger brother is able to use a sword and shield but not only that he enjoys reading. I have never seen a kid choose to read instead of being outside." Yan answered.
"That's just who I am," replied Chan before picking back up his book.
"Do you still think I'm pretty?" Yan asked Chan.
"Yes, you probably heard that plenty already from others," Chan answered.
"You're the first boy to ever call me pretty as I never get to go out and I'm only surrounded by girls and the boys in my life are all a part of my family. Also, I wouldn't mind waiting 12 years for a strong and smart man to marry me." Yan said.
His heart pounding from hearing the words come out of Yan's lips, he responds, "Haha you sound crazy right now."
"Haha, maybe I am," replied Yan.
The two spent the remaining banquet time chatting and laughing before Yan had to leave as it was getting late.
Chan along with many others was at the front gate thanking those who came and to have a safe trip back. Seeing out the guest the Ibu estate was now quiet again as they got ready to sleep and wake up to a busy tomorrow.
( Chirp! Chirp! )
After doing his usual morning routine Chan was informed he had received a letter from the first princess. A day had just passed since the banquet.
The letter was very short and it just read, "I hope we can continue to talk through messenger hawks."
Reading the letter Chan laughed before thinking to himself, "I guess I should write back as I have nothing to do.".
