Chan with his father made their way to the training hall.
( Thumph! )
Lord Ibu shuts the training hall's entrance door.
"Good morning Lord Ibu!" shouted a man in the middle of the hall.
Chan got a good look at the man. The man had long straight brown hair with dark brown eyes. The distinct feature of the man was that he was missing his left arm.
Lord Ibu introduced Chan to his new instructor, "Chan this is Ren Go, he is my former lieutenant. As you can see he has suffered a serious injury and has to be forced to be retired. Ren, I'm sorry to wake you up late last night asking you to become an instructor for my son.".
"No problem sir. If you hadn't asked me I don't know what I would do to earn some money after losing my left arm," replied Ren sincerely thanking Lord Ibu.
"Chan you will start your training right now until Oga comes and gets ready to start his classes. In the meantime, I'm going back to have a few words with your mother and brother," Lord Ibu said as he was walking away.
"Thank you, father!" said Chan as he was bowing his head.

"Since we don't have any swords or shields that will fit you, let's first start with a basic ki exercise. I will show you how to gather ki and spread it out to a specific part of your body," said Ren as he was getting down to sit.
Ren sat down then crossed his legs before he told Chan, "You also should sit down and try your best to follow my instruction."
Chan does as Ren says and sits down with his legs crossed.
Ren know his lord wouldn't lie to him but he questioned him about the story of Chan gathering ki at 4 years old, so he wanted to see for himself so he made Chan do a basic breathing exercise to gather ki, "Take a deep breath in and slowly breathe out, keep doing this cycle until you can feel the flow of ki around you. If you feel the ki slowly try to pull it into your lower stomach," Ren opened his eyes to Chan following his instructions.
"Well, at least he's good at following instructions so I don't mind if the lord did lie to me," Ren thought to himself.
After a few seconds, Chan was able to hit a trance and feel the ki around him. He'd imagine slowly pulling the stream of ki into his lower stomach.
A mist of ki was slowly surrounding Chan. Ren rubbed his eyes in disbelief at what he was seeing, almost forgetting to tell Chan what to do next, "Go– Good, next slowly think about the ki in your lower stomach to slowly make its way toward your head, finger, and toes,".
The ki slowly moves out from surrounding Chan's stomach to spreading out and forming around his body.
"Take your time in spreading out the ki equally," Ren instructed.
Chan slowly molded the deformed ki around him to perfectly surround his entire body.
Minutes were going by as Chan was struggling to evenly spread out the ki as the ki was still unstable.
Tweaking the ki around him was like trying to juggle. If he focused too much on one part of his body the other part of his body would become unstable.
"Ouch!" shouted Chan.
His ki became really unstable and was spiking around his body.
Ren ran quickly and sat behind him with his arm on Chan's back trying his best to absorb some of Chan's ki. "Chan, feel my ki and try to slowly push your ki towards mine,".
In a heap of pain Chan slowly pushed out his ki into Ren.
The pain was starting to hurt less and less as he pushed out more ki. After he pushed out all of the ki he gathered. He let out a huge sigh of relief, "Huuu.".
"That hurt like a b*tch," Chan thought to himself.
Chan turned around to see Ren meditating and trying his best to dispel the ki.
He waited for what felt like 2 minutes before Ren was able to dispel all of the ki.
Ren looked at Chan and told him, "Chan you gathered a lot of ki, almost made me spiked my ki also haha."
Looking at how Ren was laughing Chan laughed back timidly because he was scared he might get yelled at.
( Creak! )
The entrance door opened.
It was Uncle Oga.
"Hi, little Chan. Sorry if I interrupted but my classes are about to start," said Uncle Oga.
Looking to see if the training session has ended Chan looks over at Ren.
"Um, yes that should be it for today's lesson. Tomorrow after eating come back here and I'll try my best to find some suitable equipment for you," Ren said to Chan.
Chan and Ren made their way out of the training hall.
The two outside the training didn't speak to each other until Ren broke the silence by telling Chan, "Later tonight practice feeling ki and not gathering it. Only practice gathering ki when I am around. Now you should go back and do what you usually do and I'll go out to town and find someone to make a sword and shield for you.".
"Can I come too?" asked Chan. He wanted to get out of the restricting Ibu property for a while now since all that he got to see after being reborn was just the area inside the Ibu household.
Chan put on his best cute face and puppy eyes while looking at Ren waiting to hear a response.
Trying his best to resist, Ren finally caved in, "Fine, but we have to ask your father and mother first,"
"They don't have to know, we'll just go quickly right? So there is no need for them to find out," said Chan scared of his mom rejecting the idea of him going out because she did many times before already.
Still putting on his best act, Chan looked straight in Ren's eye.
"Ok, ok, fine. Don't do anything stupid and stay with me at all times," said Ren.
"Yes sir!" said Chan while saluting.
"What is that?" said Ren confused about Chan's actions.
"Nothing, before we leave can I change first?" asked Chan.
"Yea of course, just meet me at the front gate when you are ready," Ren answered.
Chan hearing this quickly ran to his room and got changed.
"Hmmm I should wear something normal to not give away who I am," Chan thought to himself.
After picking out an outfit that doesn't give off noble vibes, Chan made his way to the front gate.
Arriving at the front gate Chan told Ren he was ready to go, "Let's go, there is no time to waste,"
"Ok, by the way, nice outfit choice," replied Ren.
( Crack! — Thumph! )
The front gate opens before the two then closes again behind them.
There was a wide dirt path in front of Chan. As they continued going down the path lead them to a fork in the road.
Ren turned left and Chan followed closely.
After walking about for another 5 minutes Chan can hear the sounds of a town.
He can hear people selling products, kids playing, and elders gossiping.
"We should be in town in another 3 or so minutes," Ren said to Chan.
The two continued walking until the town could be seen.
The scene of the town was just like how it sounded; the walkway was filled with kids and adults walking in every direction.
Ren looked down at Chan and told him, "Since we are getting close hold my hand and don't let go, or else you are going to get lost,".
"I'm a grown man, you're lucky that I don't want to get lost," Chan thought to himself, but he nodded his head yes and held onto Ren's right hand.
Making their way to town they walked past many stalls selling food, jewelry, and spices.
"Hey, young man, why don't you buy some of this peanut toffy and give it to your son," a man behind the stall said to Ren.
Before Ren could answer Chan said, "We're ok," as the two continued walking.
Walking for a while Ren stopped at a store.
Chan and Ren both walked in.
"Hello, oh, it's you, Ren. What happened to your arm?" an old man behind the counter asked.
"Just a battle injury, but enough about that. I'm here today to request you make a sword and shield for this kid," Ren replied
"Sure, hmmm kid can I see your hands?" the man asked as he was walking up towards Chan.
"Sure," answered Chan as he stuck his hands out.
The old man felt and turned his hand and turned it back and forth, before answering the request of Ren, "Ok the sword and shield should be ready tomorrow in the afternoon since I don't get as many customers as I did before,".
"Thank you old man, Jia Ro," said Ren as he bowed down.
Chan instinctively also bowed down thanking Jia Ro.
"Don't worry about it, even though I'm old I'm still the best woodworker in Busin," Jia Ro bragging about his skills.
After paying, Ren and Chan made their way back to the Ibu estate.
