Mathilda
I wake up drenched in sweat, despite it seems cold here. There's this thirst for water, even so, I haven't felt the need to put food in my mouth in the past forty hours.
Taking the sheet covers off, I tumble out of bed and then put on my flip-flops so I can head to the kitchen to get a drink of water.
It's late, 2:33 AM with everywhere dead quiet with all the servants in their quarters except for the bodyguards who take turns in watching over the Nolan's Mansion till dawn.
And there's this need to check up on Cahill in his room, he might be asleep by now, or not. But I need some water first.
When I get to the kitchen, I slide the fridge doors open, and I'm slipping out a bottle of water when my wolf suddenly alerts me of a presence heading towards me.
There's a pause in my heart for a second as my ears detect the sounds of footsteps walking in my direction.
