James replies with a nod, then pulls out the doors of the kitchen cabinets to bring out cooking items.
This reminds me of how Brandon used to prepare meals for me when I came back from school exhausted.
It's unbelievable James of all people can cook. I wonder if Cahill does too. And thinking about Cahill makes guilt sting me deeply because it feels like I am betraying him by being out here with James like this.
I don't want James to think I am leading him on because I'll never.
I watch as James starts cracking several eggs in a bowl. He's fast in chopping onions and a chunky pepper on the chopping board.
After putting on the stove, he sets a frying pan on it, then adds a drop of oil after letting the pan heat.
"You're good at this. It's just a fact, don't take it as a compliment." I fold my arms as I watch in astonishment.
