Chapter 3 - Albert Annoyed with Anas

Albert unsealed a soda can for the past few days he spent the night at Ladybug headquarters at Josh Frederic's request. Surely it is not a difficult command because at home he is alone. However, sleeping with his co-workers never made Albert feel good so he had to wake up early even though his body was still tired.

"Here you are apparently."

Albert then turned his head and found Thomas in the kitchen and picked up a sandwich wrap at the dinner table. The man of African descent looks shabby, unselected.

"That girl is really noisy! She continued to look for her brother who had become a corpse. You better meet her and give an explanation or whatever so that the girl is quiet," Thomas said, nibbling on the bread with an upset face.

"You didn't hit her?" Albert asked, recalling Thomas never looked at a feather when violent toward anyone.

Thomas glanced at his partner. "If I hit her, doesn't that mean I thrust my face to be hit by you as well?"

Albert reflex smiled. "It's good if you understand. The girl belongs to Josh. If anything happens to her, you won't be able to escape."

"Yeah, yeah, I understand, Sir." Thomas certainly doesn't want to look for trouble with Albert let alone Josh. Although he is quite temperamental like Henry, another story is when he confronts the two men.

"Then who's guarding her room?" asked Albert.

"Henry."

"Ah, the pervert." Albert left a soda can at the dinner table and stepped out of the kitchen.

No one can confirm Henry's consciousness after a night hangover with Thomas and Louis. So all Albert has to make sure of is to keep Anas away from perverted men who are ready to pounce on the girl at any time. Although he admits, that Anas is beautiful and sweet even though the girl is blind.

Instead of going into Anas's room and teasing the girl, Albert instead saw Henry sitting on the sofa in front of Anas's room while asleep. He kicked Henry in the leg until the man writhed with annoyability.

"Sleep in the room," Albert said.

"I have to take care of the girl," Henry said.

"Let me take care of hers," Albert said, opening the door.

"All right." Henry yawned from unsanthy drowsiness and moved from there to move to another room. While Albert stepped slowly into a dark room that was only in the glare of sunlight from a small window in the corner opposite the position of the bed.

Hearing someone's presence, Anas immediately sat down and was silent to observe from which direction the sound appeared. Albert stopped in the doorway. At first glance Anas does not look like a blind girl, the color of his eyeballs is beautiful, and feels alive. However, there were irregularities that Albert found. The eyeball was not the same as Peter William's when the man begged not to kill a few days ago.

"Who?" Anas spoke first.

"Me."

Anas' forehead wrinkled. "Who? I forgot."

The man snorted. "Albert."

"Oh. You gave me food yesterday and claimed to be Peter's friend, didn't you?"

"Yes." Albert was holding back and leaning behind the door.

"I want to know where Peter is. It's not usually that he leaves without telling me. It's not fair! He must have been out for a walk with Dahlia. I want to come!" Anas said, there was dullness of emotion from the look on her face and voice.

"He's working. You don't have to worry," Albert said, perhaps he just needed to repeat the sentence until Anas was tired of asking.

"But I want to know where he is. At least leave a voicemail or say goodbye to me. Please let me meet Peter. Please, Al," said Anas, with a face. She was upset and missed Peter at the same time.

"Can't. Peter is at work," Albert replied.

"No, he will accept me even if he is busy. Peter won't refuse if I've begged him or you can call Dahlia. Your friends, aren't you?" Anas still insists on achieving her wish that she didn't know would never come true even though she whined many times.

"I told you, they can't be reached," Albert said, starting to get annoyed. Thomas said is true, this girl is annoying. Yesterday she was like a kitten that lost a mother. Weak and helpless.

"Why not try it first? Why is it as if you're blocking me from meeting Peter? Or at least take me home. I just want to be with Aunt Emma. I don't like being here!" Anas concocted like a child who was not allowed to eat sugar candy and the girl's voice ignited Albert's emotions.

"So, you don't want to stay with me?" Albert stepped closer to Anas's bed.

"No. I want to go home! Aunt Emma will tell me about Peter's whereabouts," Anas replied, quickly.

Albert clucked and then muttered. "It's stubborn."

"Al, are you still here? Come on, please take me. Please, Albert," Anas said, increasingly so.

"Peter said his sister was a sweet, obedient girl. I thought what Peter said was true, but it wasn't. His sister is so annoying," Albert said, opening the nightstand drawer and grabbing a syringe still wrapped in plastic.

"What do you mean? I'm a good girl. I just want to meet Peter. Is that wrong? He's my brother. Wouldn't it make sense for me to worry about him?" Anas had never heard anyone say that and she was a little offended by Albert's remarks.

Albert put a clear liquid in the syringe in his hand then he got up and sat on the edge of Anas's bed. The look on the girl's face was exactly the little girl who was sulking. Sometimes it's adorable, but it's more annoying. The face that once made Albert take down the gun had changed with an annoying look. Now he begins to wonder, what would Josh sell the girl in front of him if it could be thrown into an orphanage alone.

"Al?"

The man grabbed Anas and then thrust a syringe into the girl's arm in a quick motion. Anas squealed and rebelled, but the liquid in the syringe was already flowing in her body. Albert pushed Anas until the girl reclined while holding Albert's pierced arm with a syringe, she was in pain and before long his groaning subsided.

"What... what you did... to me?" Anas asked, quietly.

Albert did not answer and waited for the next reaction of the anesthetic he had just given to that girl. The man threw the used syringe into a trash can near the door. He brushed the hair that covered Anas' face to make sure the girl was asleep or not.

"Sweet girls who like to make noise do need a lot of sleep," Albert said.

He has taken care of beautiful girls dozens of times as a prisoner of Josh or someone else. Of course, the reaction of the girls was not far from hysterical screams and fear. However, usually, Albert or Louis could rely on their level to keep the girls calm. Albert with a fairly foreign look because of the oriental stroke on his face and Louis was predicted to look like Leonardo Dicaprio when he was young. Unfortunately, the good looks of the man were now meaningless in front of Anas. So, Albert did not have to bother to act sweet and put a face full of warmth on the girl.

Albert got up from bed when he heard the sirens approaching. He stepped into the window and instantly sighed involuntarily. It turned out that the siren was sourced from an ambulance. Josh has warned us to be careful in the future. The man is forming a new team to investigate the security of their main headquarters.

"Quick! The right way! You're heavy, you know!"

A rowdy noise from outside lured Albert out of the room. He briefly glanced at Anas for the last time before closing the door. Albert's gaze was fixed on George who was painstakingly dragging a man down the stairs. He took the initiative to help George because he believed the man couldn't possibly bring just anyone into their headquarters.

"Who?" asked Albert, as they had managed to blow the young man near the sofa.

"Help me take him to the execution room. I'll explain there," George said, after adjusting his breathing to be more stable.

Albert accordingly. Unlike George who still gave the young man the opportunity to use his legs, Albert pulled the headgear from the jacket the man was wearing and dragged him to the execution room on the third floor. Arriving at the room, the young man coughed with a flushed face due to his neck suffocating jacket.

"This guy saw you while taking Peter's sister to the car. He also reported the death of Peter and his family to neighbors until a complaint to the police came. He was the only eyewitness who was there," George said, pointing to the man who was on his knees. It turned out that night they were caught off guard enough to be unaware of the existence of others who almost threatened the safety of the Ladybug team.

Albert looked at the man's face then turned to his partner. "Has he testified to the police?"

"Not yet. It's not him who reports to the police," George said, looking back at his extra 'work'.

"I... promise would not report this to anyone. I promise! I will forget what I saw yesterday," the young man pleaded.

However, Albert didn't want to bother and add to the problem. He has not received an answer from Josh regarding the truth of whether their headquarters are indeed being spied on or not. Albert opened the number two drawer in the closet in the corner of the room. His hands moved down which weapon he wanted to use. He picked up one rifle, a pistol with a viewfinder lens capable of accurately removing bullets.

"Get out of the way, George."

Albert aimed at the increasingly frightened young man then pressed the trigger and a loud squeal filled the execution chamber along with the collapsed and blood-drenched body. The bullet broke the young man's heart and left the only eyewitness to their actions that night to die instantly.

"Troublesome."

"I'm going to take care of the body," George said.

Albert immediately returned the gun to the drawer as the phone in his pants pocket shook. There's an incoming message from Josh Frederic. He came out of the soundproofed room and opened a message from the mafia boss.

[Mr. Josh: Tomorrow I'll be with Harry Young. Looks like he's interested in Anastasia. Make sure the girl is okay.]

"I didn't expect it to sell so quickly," Albert muttered and left the base to prepare for Anastasia's performance tomorrow. He wondered what the girl would be made by a man like Harry Young.
