Chapter 39 - Your Honor, You Suck

Once the three of them had entered the courtroom, Erika went to sit in the spectators' sitting area.

The rest of the area was mostly empty due to the sudden request of the case. Adulu, however, was present there with the rest of his legal team.

He glared at Eve with hatred before looking toward Noah. Their gazes suddenly met as Adulu jerked back in surprise.

"You! You are her son!" Adulu suddenly shouted as Noah greeted him with a grin.

"Yes, it is me. The one and only son of the woman you tried to make a mistress of." He replied while maintaining the smile on his face.

Both he and Eve then went to take their seats in the area designated to them while Adulu did the same.

His team consisted of a few old-looking lawyers, whom Noah identified as the lawyers sitting on the top of the court present in the city.

'Not many visitors huh.' Noah observed as he saw only half a dozen people watching the case.

He turned his head to stare at the entrance of the courtroom before sighing. 'More should be coming through in a few minutes.'

Noah's prediction had been completely correct as, after a few minutes, a whole crowd of people suddenly rushed through the entrance.

Noah recognized many people belonging to the press, news channels, magazines, etc. going barging in through the entrance.

However, the most surprising person entering the door was none other than Izzy, Alec, and Rebecca.

Noah raised his eyebrows in surprise as he hadn't been expecting the two of them to walk inside the courtroom after deciding to stay outside.

'Rebecca seems to be staring at me for some reason.' Noah found Rebecca staring at him intensely as though he had just killed her daughter.

Izzy, on the other hand, was avoiding Noah's gaze, and much to his surprise was blushing.

'I will ask her about this later on.' Noah thought as he turned his attention to the judge's seat.

A magic circle had appeared right above the seat, indicating the arrival of the judge.

'Going for the flashy entrance by using such an expensive artifact. People don't really care much about money once they are earning plenty or are looting people,' Noah calmly thought as the rest of the people present in the court stood up.

Even Adulu stood up and the only ones left sitting were Noah and Erika. Neither of them had any respect for such a man, especially when they knew that the hearing was going to be rigged from the start.

Noah instead observed the magic circle with interest as he knew that it had been created with the help of a magical artifact.

If one used light element carefully in the right proportion with wind and lightning elements, a certain object was created which allowed people to teleport.

The maximum limit for such objects was two kilometers because, after that, a person's body would start disfiguring.

'I remember that one guy had ended up with half of his body remaining at the original position and the other half appearing three kilometers away at his final destination.' Noah mused.

Such artifacts usually had the cost of a lower-middle-class family's monthly income and could be used anywhere ranging between a hundred to five hundred times.

They could be regarded as life-saving treasures but most people used them to show off, the judge being one of them.

"The court is in session." A deep voice echoed throughout the courtroom as everyone settled down.

A man in his mid-fifties appeared on the chair in the courtroom. The funny part was that he had literally appeared on the chair and was standing on it.

"Maybe you should get down, your honor," Noah said with a smile as the judge climbed down.

He looked at Noah with a disgusted expression, which made Noah grin and show him the middle finger.

Gasps echoed around the crowd as they hadn't expected someone to be acting like that in front of the judge.

Was Noah deliberately doing this to make sure that he lost?

"So we have Eve Rilonsia filing this case against Mister Adulu on the following…" the judge then went on to read the details of the case.

Noah yawned as he was feeling bored by the formality. Judging by the smug look on Adulu's face, the case was already won by him as he had bribed the judge.

'Guess money can't buy you everything.' Noah smiled as he noticed the judge's bald forehead.

Perhaps it was due to the judge's genes but the man couldn't modify his hair to grow again.

"So would you like to present any evidence in front of the court?" the judge finally asked as Noah took out his phone.

He scrolled through his gallery before pulling out the video he had recorded yesterday. Noah put the phone in holographic projection mode before showing the video to the entire room.

It included all talks Adulu had had with Eve in the love hotel. Once the video had ended, Noah stood up and walked up to the judge while taking out copies of the files he had gotten from Stella.

The judge looked at all of them one by one as the majority of the courtroom held their breath. Though all of them knew the outcome of the case, they silently waited for the verdict to be announced.

"There is no way to prove that these are real. You have to get the witnesses who participated in this act as well as the one who gave you the documents. We will also have to send this video for checking and the results should come out in a week.

Till then, we can't decide anything." The judge declared while keeping the documents right with him.

Noah chuckled internally as he knew what would happen in the following week. He, Eve, and anyone related to them would be killed.

All people mentioned in the documents would either be killed or kept as slaves. Noah knew this too damn well.

Furthermore, video checking took a few minutes and the same was true for calling people. Noah could even teleport and bring Stella and Adulu's mistresses to the courtroom in less than five minutes.

But why bother?

"Your honor, you suck hard," Noah suddenly shook his head as the temperature inside the court suddenly started to rise. "No wonder your wife left you and you had to make do with your butlers."

The judge's face distorted as his brain tried to process the insults thrown his way.

Noah wasn't telling the truth as he had created the insults on the spot but due to some extreme level of luck, his words turned out to be true.

"How did you…"

"Don't talk further," Noah shut the judge right up as the temperature increased sharply. "I tried doing things the nice and legal way but peace was never an option. You chose violence so my wrath is what you shall receive."
