This night, once again Kyler sneaked out, but alone. He couldn't even have his brother know that he was meeting with the luna of Moon Supreme.
Because he knows, his brother might be caring but he's their father's chess piece.
Kayden will tell everything to their father as long as it won't get him into trouble. Kyler is sure that Kayden won't say anything about last night as he himself was out too.
But he's alone this time.
Kyler reached the tree at which he met with Eris last time, and instead of a girl, he saw a grey wolf, laying comfortably by the tree.
He slowed down, and took gentle steps to the wolf, making a noise to wake up the female wolf.
Kyler's heart skipped a beat once his golden eyes met the sterling grey ones, shining proudly under the light from the moon.
Those grey eyes complimented the grey fur Eris had, making look so elegant and ..Mystical.
Eris stood up on his four legs while Kyler still stood in that exact same spot, looking into her eyes.
A small bark was all it took for Kyler to step out of his trance and into the reality.
Eris turned shifted back to her human form and sat down, looking at the wolf who stood before her, emitting the powerful aura of an alpha.
She smiled before gently keeping a hand on his head.
Kyler's wolf like instincts kicked in as he leaned in the gentle touch, unable to resist it no matter how hard he tried. He took a few steps before getting comfortable on the girl's lap.
Eris was taken aback for a few seconds, she never really had a wolf on her lap, other than her younger sister. But this was a wolf. A male wolf. A male wolf from the pack she's supposed to stay away from.
Eris sighed out loud, but resumed what she was doing, running her hand through Kyler's thick fur, repeating the same process again and again for who knows how long.
Eris loved petting things while Kyler loved being petted, this was a win-win situation for them.
Finally after several minutes passed, Eris remembered why she was here in the first place, it wasn't to pet his ginormous wolf.
"Hey!" Eris pushed Kyler off of her lap, who rolled away and growled at the girl, bearing his teeth to scare the girl, but she wasn't even fazed by it.
Kyler shifted to his human form and layed on his back at the same spot. "I hoped you'll forget."
"Hahah. Not so easy mister, Get me my payment." Rolling his eyes, Kyler detached the small bag of coins that was attatched to his belt.
"There you go," Eris' face brighten up at the sight of the jingling bad, inside which were sparkling gold coins.
"Oh~ you kept your promise!" A small smile made it's way into Kyler's lips as the girl happy counted the many gold coins like a child getting a candy.
"I told you I keep my promise," Eris gave him a large smile and tucked the bag in her jeans, "Thank you, Mr. Crescent. Now this, ends our deal." Eris put her hand forward for Kyler to shake.
Kyler glanced at the girl then at her smiling face before taking her hand, but instead of letting go, Kyler pulled her towards him, making her fall across his torso.
"Have you gone mad or what?"
"I don't want that." Eris furrowed her eyebrows, what was this man on about?
"I don't want this to end,"
"..So you wanna keep paying me?" Eris let out, why would this man want to keep paying everyday, is he mad?
"Gosh, no! I meant this meeting, I like it.." Eris let out a confused noise as a sign for Kyler to continue.
"Well, in my house, I am not supposed to go out of my room until my brother takes my father's place. Because the last time, I got attacked by some rogues.."
"Continue, please, I still don't understand this completely." Kyler rolled his eyes, why is this girl so dense?
"And because of that, I like sneaking out and meeting someone other than my brother's annoying ass." Eris' eyevrows shot up in surprise.
"So.. you're saying that you like meeting up with the leader of your rival pack?"
"Technically, yeah."
Eris sighed, "Well, it'll be a lie to say I didn't enjoy my time here in these two days, so I guess we're still meeting here."
Kyler's lips stretched upwards, he can't describe how happy he was. "Great then, same place, same time."
"Alright, see you tomorrow then," Eris got up and so did Kyler before they both shifted to their wold forms.
Kyler booped Eris' nose with his before both ran away in opposite directions.
Once inside his room, Kyler couldn't control his excitement as he jumped face first on his bed, kicking the bed with excitement while his head was buried in a pillow.
His excitement was cut short when his ears caught the sound of his father's footsteps. His eyes widen in fear as he quickly tried switched off the light and tried to unfold the blanket in dark.
He turned out to be lucky as, as soon as he pulled the blanket over his head, he heard the door opening.
"I told you he's asleep, Arnold." Came his mother's whispered voice before the sound of door closing.
Kyler waited for a few seconds to pull out his his head from the duvet to make sure he won't get caught.
"Shit, that was a close one.." He knows that he'll need to be more careful next time if his parents do come to check.
