Kyler slowly inched towards the tree, hoping that Eris would be there, even though she hadn't really said that she will be, Kyler still hoped.
Kyler saw no one by the tree, he decided to walk a further, hoping to see her sitting somewhere. Very cautously, he called out, "Eris?"
Instead of a reply, he received a push on his back which had caused him to loose his balance, and lean towards the lake in front.
The large splash on the nearby lake made Eris burst out in a fit of giggles as she waited for Kyler to raise above the water.
"What the fuck?!" Kyler raised, pushing his wet hair back with his hands and staring at Eris, who was barely able to stand up on her own anymore.
"Oh my!" She gasped, in hopes of filling in the much needed oxygen, but still couldn't quite stop.
"So that's how it is, huh," Kyler walked out of the water, heading straight towards the laughing girl.
Eris sensed what was to come and attempted to run away, but before she could, Kyler had grabbed her waist, throwing her over his shoulder, he walked near the lake and threw the girl in.
But she had a death grip on his shirt and caused the both to fall in the water body and emerge out with a burst of giggles.
"The water's too cold!" Eris whined, though she stated the disconfort, it wasn't emitted on her face.
"Is it?" Kyler asked and splashed some water on her face, making her stop talking.
"Oh you're so on!"
And the war of water started between the two, all to be heard was, laughter, screams of joy and the splashes of water.
The two had forgotten about their differences while inside the cold lake water, they played as if they were the only two people left on the Earth.
"Ah!" Eris laughed, latching onto an equally wet Kyler when her foot slipped inside the water. Kyler held her waist to not let her fall, the large smile not leaving his face even for a split second.
The two stood, attached to each other light giggles leaving their throat with the large smiles covering the whole faces, eyes twinkling under the bright moonlight.
For a moment, Kyler's eyes fell onto Eris' lustrous lips, which seemed to be inviting him to have a taste.
Eris' closed her mouth, the smile not even wavering, her eyes followed Kyler's, she knew what he wanted.
Slowly standing on her tiptoes, she gently placed her lips on his. The time stopped in the very moment for the two as their eyes closed at the peaceful feeling.
It seemed forever before Kyler parted his lips and took Eris' bottom lips in between his, and began moving them slowly, savouring the moment for as long as he could.
Eris' hands snaked around Kyler's body, reaching his neck and wrapping themselves around it as Kyler pulled at her waist even closer, if possible.
They never wanted to let go of each other, the feeling was too secure. The cold water didn't feel cold anymore, it was now the perfect temperature which made them feel coziness swarming around them.
Eris was the first one to pull away, to breath in the oxygen she lost during the kiss.
It left the two breathless, with a warm feeling inside their bodies.
Eris was suddenly aware of what had happened, she pushed herself away from the boy, ears turning red as she tried to avoid all kinds of eye contact with Kyler.
"Is someone shy now?" Kyler teased, whispering in her ears, making Eris jump from the sudden voice.
"Oh- just shut up!" She slapped his chest, and turned around to walk out of the water.
With a small laugh, Kyler followed behind her, both sat on the grass beside the river, drying off the water, while admiring the beauty of the moon.
The same moon that holds the capacity to turn them into monsters.
"Isn't it weird?" Eris started, making Kyler turn to her with a raised eyebrow.
"That our packs are mortal enemies, yet here we are.." She looked down at the grass.
Kyler didn't really knew how to comfort the girl, because he too have been thinking of the same for a long time, the question, 'What if we get caught?' Keeps roaming around his head.
"Will you leave me if we get caught?" He questioned, Eris suddenly looked horrified at the thought.
"Gosh, no! I don't want to, no, never, ..I've found my happiness after such a long time, I can't bare to let you go.."
Kyler smiled, he's the cause of someone's happiness, he isn't as useless as his father thinks.
"I.. liked the sound of it,"
Eris turned to face him, "Will you leave me?"
Kyler shook his head without a second thought, "I can even leave my pack, I'm not the oldest, there is no use of me there,"
"It's not true," Eris started, "They might not say, but you are the member of the pack's leading family, you ARE important. Even if we look at you individually, you are important, to your pack, to your family and.." She paused for a moment to look down before staring right into his eyes.
"..And to me."
