Chapter 39 - Secret In The Mansion - Part 5

From the first glance, he saw that though the corps's hands were tied together. One of the hands was holding onto something tight. He stayed silent and continued to observe and with Aiden's eyes sharp enough to catch Noir's eyes being fixed on the hands, he confirmed that there was something there.

"It seems that it is going to be quite a hassle to find out who this is," he said.

"Well, no one can identify her face at this rate and it doesn't seem like anything that belongs to her is here."

"Police officer can you come with me for a second," Noir went out with the police officer and Aiden followed both of them.

"Aiden and Officer don't mind me saying this. I don't think that this is the first time this has happened in this house."

"What do you mean Noir? I haven't been here for the past 1 and a half years. Even when I was buying this property I never heard something like someone was killed here and if I heard something like that I would have never bought this house."

"I just realised when you said. The price to which this house was sold off was too low compared to all the land around here. Thinking that it is a stupid decision of the land owners I bought this land."

"And how much was it?" Noir questioned Aiden.

"2.5 Million for land and the house together with all the furniture but I threw out all the furniture they left and renowned this house."

"That is too low for a house that is in an area that had plans to be industrialised. If I assume correctly this piece of land with the house, it costs more than 7 Million. Am I the officer?"

"Yes, you are correct on that. The land here alone is more than expensive for normal people to buy. This huge piece of land was sold to different development programmes, and this was the piece of land that was last sold 9 years ago."

"So you too had your eyes on this?" Aiden asked him.

"Well, how could I not be aware of this when new people from everywhere were interested in buying land here for a reason that was stupid?"

"Police officer, there is something I want you to do right now. Don't make much sound and just listen to what I am about to say right now."

"Do you see the butler of this house sitting on the sofa there?"

"I am not blind, of course, I can see him."

"Take two other officers with you and first take the knife that is hiding behind his trouser and then take him down!"

"I think we need to search all the rooms of this house except for the room Aiden was staying in."

"Aiden did he purposely move Adrienne to the room in the corner?"

"Well, something like that happened. I wanted her in the room that is in front of mine because there is a computer there. I wanted her to write a report on what happened yesterday and send it to you. But well I didn't really question him when he took her to the other room."

"But when I asked Adrienne whether there was a computer in the room or not, she told me, yes and when I came into this room with her I saw the computer with my own two eyes."

"Hey, you two come here, the senior officer called two young officers over."

"There is something you need to do right now, he said. What is it, sir? Load your guns and go get the man over there." He said without making much sound.

Both of the police officers approached the butler as if nothing was wrong. "Sir, can you please come down with us," one of them asked.

"Yes sure," his hand went to the back and he brought them back to the front.

"Catch him!" the young officer whispered to the other.

The moment he heard those words, his hands went to the back at the speed of light. He held the knife towards the officers and then began to move.

The senior officer who saw this quickly ran to them.

"You better drop the knife before we shoot you!" He said, pointing his gun at him.

"You stupid idiots, you should have taken them, not me, but I guess someone is intelligent. Someone with a brain came here. It seems that I am doomed."

"Don't worry I have no plans on going down alone, I will take all of you down with me."

He ran towards one of the rookie officers and grabbed him by the neck and stabbed him in the thigh, making him scream in pain.

His knife slowly reached the young officer's neck and right when he was about to slide it across his neck Adrienne who approached them from the back kicked him on the head releasing the rookie officer.

"I can take care of this. You all get out of here." She held onto him tight, not letting him move his hands, but even before she could realise His hands were fast enough to stab her right in her stomach, her reflexes were good enough to save herself from the knife going deep down.

"Did you really think that you could kill me?" She turned her head towards him and grabbed him by the face and pushed him against the wall. She grabbed the knife that stabbed her without thinking about the fact that it was cutting through her skin.

She felt no pain.

Her hands gradually moved to his neck and she slowly tightened them, increasing the force.

"Adrienne stop it!"

"At this rate, you are going to kill him," Noir shouted but Aiden was enjoying the show standing by a side. He had a light smile on his face though he wanted her to stop killing people.

But right before she broke his neck off he approached and grabbed her hand and pulled her to him.

"Stop it already." He said while holding on to her hand.

She looked down realising how wrongful was for her to do something like that right in front of the police. There was something about herself that she couldn't even realise.

"Officer, I think you should arrest him." Aiden said looking at his butler who was trying to move.

"Thank you for your help but still you will have to accompany us to the police station. I just saw what you tried to do, don't think that I am blind enough not to see the fact that you were trying to kill him just now."

"Officer, I think you should talk about this with my lawyer." Aiden walked towards the open balcony with Adrienne.

"Don't speak a word from now on, let me handle it all for you," he patted her head and looked back at the police officers.

"But before anything else, I think we need to take care of your wounds. Are you sure that you weren't stabbed deep?"

"Yes, I am sure that I wasn't stabbed that deep, I know more about wounds than you think. This won't do me any harm and I will also go to the police with them. I was wrong here."

"No. Who allowed you to do that?"

"Well, well guys, I think we have more to investigate here. "Police officer, can you please kindly accompany me to that room over there," Noir said.
