Aiden approached Maribel. "Was Ahn Sua and the inspector's daughter in a relationship?" He asked without making much sound.
"It seems like that as all of her friends testified them for being lovers." He answered. "The other thing is that when they found her body she and he both had induced a lot of drugs and had passed out inside a VIP room in a famous club. The police, unfortunately, didn't do anything much because of the pressure exerted on them."
"They just released the boy on bail and dropped the case."
"Hmm… interesting." Aiden walked back to Adrienne.
The talking had already brought them to the car.
"Maribel, you sit in the front, Noir and Adrienne will sit in the back."
"Yes, sure thing master." Maribel opened the door for Aiden Adrienne and Noir and closed it after they got in.
The only sound that was heard thereafter was the sound of them breathing. No one was talking a single word or wasn't even trying to start a conversation.
"you all must have been scared after what you guys saw at the house?" He asked.
"Yeah kind of," Noir replied as no one else was making an effort to reply to his question. He knew that Aiden didn't have an answer to that question as he had seen such things and on the other hand Adrienne was someone who used to kill people.
"That's understandable. You guys were lucky that the man somehow admitted to the crimes. If he didn't say those words I would have to hold you guys much longer."
"So you are the chairperson of the Phoenix group?" He put out another question.
"Yes, I am." Aiden finally talked as that was a question he could answer. "Also, the one you just talked with is the vice chairperson of the Phoenix group."
"Ah, I see. By the way kids, it must feel nice to have someone that has your back."
"It really does," Aiden said with a smirk.
By now they had another few seconds drive left until they were at the car. But the question that suddenly came to light pissed all 4 of them off.
"Mr Ryan, I am telling this for your own good. I think you should refrain from asking such questions. By now I am pretty sure about why we all are in a hurry to leave. I can't just let a mere murder like this ruin my plans."
"By the way come to think of it, seeing us with a corpse must have brought back some memories that you didn't want to remember." Aiden talked with a sarcastic tone.
"So you did a background check on me?" He stepped on the brakes.
"Well yes but a small one. I didn't have time to get a full file due to the time concentrations."
"You get out of the car and walk your way out. I must have been crazy enough to put trust in people like you who would use money just as you please."
They all got out of the car. Aiden had succeeded in pissing him off but Noir was disappointed about him dropping them off still in the middle of the field.
The car accelerated fast into the dark and finally left their sight leaving them in darkness.
"There is only another few hundred meters. Stop complaining and let's just walk." Aiden grabbed Adrienne's hand.
"Oi Maribel, you take my hand. This environment is scaring the shit out of me."
"Master Noir do I really have to do that?" He questioned.
Why not. I am not asking you to be in a relationship with me. It's just that I am scared and I need something alive by my side. What if a darned ghost come and drag me into the darkness?"
"Stop being delusional Noir. Nothing like that is going to happen." Aiden switched on the flashlight on his phone brightening the environment a little.
Maribel took Noir's hand and followed the steps of Adrienne and Aiden who were walking in front of them.
After that moment no one talked. They all walked slowly without wasting much energy on trying to run.
"Adrienne, you brought the cat key right?"
"Yes, I did. It is in my pocket."
Aiden turned around to look at Noir who was scared to walk even though there were people surrounding him but to his surprise, he was holding onto Maribel's hand with a little smile on his face.
"They are indeed a little suspicious?" He thought in his head.
They all arrived at the gate that was blocking them from going out. The guard was reading a book and didn't realise their arrival until Aiden decided to approach the guard room.
"Open the gate for us." He said with a light tone.
"Oh God, I am sorry Master Aiden I didn't realise it was you." He said after staring at Aiden for a few seconds.
The automatic gate opened making a freaky and creepy sound that made everyone except for Aiden have goosebumps.
"Let's go then." He stepped out.
