Chapter 40 - Slip

Just as they were strolling around the courtyard hand in hand, Amayah suddenly spotted a white swing surrounded with beautiful flowers acting as a fence in an almost circular pattern, with only a small path left to enter the circle.

Amayah's steps stopped. She was really awed by the sight in front of her. It looked like it came straight out of some fairytale. It was just—drop dead gorgeous.

Sensing Amayah stopping in her movements, Nolan also stopped, confused.

"What happened? Why aren't you moving?" He couldn't help but ask when sensing that she had no intentions of moving forward any time soon.

Nolan's melodic voice brought her out of her daze. She turned to look at him with a bright, beautiful smile on her face and said, "There's a beautiful white swing up ahead!"

Nolan could clearly sense the excitement and joy in her voice while telling him about the swing. "Let's go there and take a rest for a while. I'm feeling tired."
