"Ah-choo!"
Someone suddenly sneezed beside Nolan in a kitten-like voice, jolting him from his reverie. Amayah rubbed her nose, and then her shoulders, miserably.
Nolan then only realized that the wetness must have seeped into Amayah's clothes, topped with the cold evening breeze. He thought for a moment, then declared, "Let's go inside. I'm feeling exhausted."
"Huh?"Amayah turned to him incredulously. She was the one who was squashed by him—how was he the one feeling exhausted?
Well, whatever, this man was an enigma. Half the time, she's unable to understand his words. Anyway, baby steps, that was the way. She nodded. "Alright."
Amayah numbly brought him back up to the second floor.
Once the door had been shut, she let go of him. Seeing her hand darting out of his grip like an escaping fish, Nolan fought the urge to grab hold of her again. They were warm and soft, giving him an immense sense of security that he didn't even realize he needed.
