"Is this how are you going to talk to me?" David asked with the same infuriated tone, and to that Irvyn chose not to respond with anything.
"All right. It must be my misfortune to get this treatment from my own son then." David let out a sigh, while his tone going back to the normal scale.
"That's something you earned yourself," Irvyn spat those words coldly at that man, and turned towards the door. "Let's go."
"W-wait, Mr. Collins!" Irvyn felt a tug on his sleeves, which made his steps halt. And when Irvyn stopped and looked back, she asked, "You go and bring those reports from the hospital. I can stay and wait for you here."
"Did you just not hear what I said just now?" He roared out once again, making Yvette flinch. "Didn't I say you don't need to talk with this man over here?"
