Fae's red eyes quickly landed on Valhalla who was swinging his scythe down at him. Dodging it quickly he could feel the slight breeze as it swept right past him. The sound of laughter echoing from Valhalla as he enjoyed every second of their fight. There was not a care in the world that Chi was no longer there because he had found a worthy opponent to face right in front of him. They were both experienced in the field of surviving when it came to the worlds they had originated from. Fae had spent his life evading others who were after his life for being a vampire.
Upon his natural instinct to protect his own life Fae could feel his fangs coming out. His black over shirt blowing in the breeze as he repeatedly dodged the scythe that Valhalla tried to slice him with. Using all his focus he awaited the moment he could view and opening. Taking use of the opening he located Fae's body twisted and flung itself forward at Valhalla. Fae's fist swiftly took it's own impact into the center of Valhalla's stomach sending him flying backwards against a tree causing bark to shatter all over. Falling to the ground with a loud boom dirt took to the air.
"Very good! Very good! I'm certain to gain his attention with you." Valhalla laughed hysterically as he took it as his chance to gain favor of the god.
Dusting off his clothes as he stood up he stared Fae down with a determined spark in his eyes. Just as Valhalla was determined to win so was Fae, for a completely different reason. Fae was not ready to forfeit his life to the Garden. Both of the men's bodies shot forward so fast that they caused ripples in the air behind them. One held his scythe to the side ready to swipe at Fae while Fae had already prepared for the impact.
Bending his body downward Fae was able to just barely miss the impact of the black and purple scythe's sharp blade. The tip of the scythe had managed to slice open his black over shirt just barely across his chest causing his chest to bleed from a faint wound. Having his chest wounded slightly from the blade stung but it was bearable. It was not the first time he had suffered a wound before in his life from a bladed weapon.
A faint red light emitted from Fae's eyes as he took the opening to land another hit on Valhalla, this time on his chest just hard enough to make the man go dizzy for a second. In that moment of haze Valhalla found Fae's palm going flat against his chest and sending his entire body down flat onto the ground. All the air in Valhalla felt like it had been knocked out upon the harsh impact. Before he had the time to think a sharp pair of fangs sunk deep into Valhalla's neck. Blood poured from his skin into the mouth of the man who held him firm to the ground. It felt to Valhalla like his life was being sucked dry from him as he could hear Fae bellowing hungrily like a beast who'd gone mad.
"Fiend! Release me!" Valhalla shouted as he kneed Fae in the groin causing him to collapse to the side, blood dripping from Fae's mouth from having drank blood from Valhalla's neck.
"I guess even some trash can taste not so bad.." Fae spat part of Valhalla's blood out onto the grass with a sarcastic smile on his face. Fresh blood from a living person felt and tasted much better then the rats he was forced to feed from last night. It caused a rising hunger to burn within him as he could not help but run his tongue slowly along his teeth until the tip of his tongue swept over his pointed fangs.
"I will kill you.." Valhalla's body shook as he reached up and held the bleeding bite mark on his neck with the palm of his hand. The strength in his body was already weaker from the quick and sudden loss of blood to the beast before him. "You damn bloodsucker."
"Don't over praise yourself." Climbing back up onto his feet Fae stared down at the man who was still on the ground with his scythe held firm in one hand while shaking slightly. It felt to Fae that the tide had already turned in his favor and it was clear that Valhalla's skill were talented but limited against someone like him.
"Truce?" Valhalla spoke as he had to quickly judge his situation as Fae began to stride towards him.
"Where was that truce when you tried to kill me and Chi, huh?" Fae spat out the question as he saw the idea of a truce as nothing more then a sick joke.
"I- I can be useful!" Valhalla shuddered as he saw the man was not wavering in his steps. "Wait!"
Fae did not allow the man to distract him from surviving in Numen's Garden. If he was going to keep his life he could not allow himself to waver for the sake of someone else who could easily turn on him at any moment. As he strode over to Valhalla he could see the man readying his scythe again; this time in self defense from the hungered vampire who had his fangs bared and ready to devour him. There was a darkened expression on Fae's face as he came to a stop at Valhalla's side. Reaching out his hand he caught the scythe much easier this time due to the lack of strength the man had left.
Throughout the area a sudden high pitched scream could be heard as Fae's sharp fangs quickly and fiercely drained the man of his life. Every drop of blood was sweet and intoxicating to him like he was in ecstasy as he ate. He had lost every part of his mind that allowed him to realize he was feeding on the body of another person. Even after the body of Valhalla had long stopped it's movements Fae had to force himself to release it from his hold. A strong desire for more food was on the tip of his tongue but after a few minutes he was certain he could calm himself down enough to go look for Chi and Tyson.
