Running as fast as he could Chi struggled to keep up with Fae who lead him through the mountain range. They could hear the sounds of laughter from behind as they ran from the one who was after them. Behind them off in the distance was a man dressed in black and purple. His pink eyes pinned on the two of them as his purple hair blew in the strong breeze as he ran after them. In his hand he wielded as large scythe that looked as though it was dragged straight out from hell itself and painted in purple to blend in with his clothing.
The sound of blade scraping on rock could be heard as Valhalla dragged the blade against rocks to toy with Chi and Fae as they ran. Valhalla was on his fourth year in Numen's Garden. Unlike Tyson who still retained his love for humanity Valhalla enjoyed the thrill of hunting down others in the Garden. It filled him with a sense of ecstasy that he longed for during his time in the world he lived in between each year's event.
Panting heavily as he tried to catch his breath Fae came to a stop with Chi pausing right behind him. He could see a tunnel that was built in brick along the mountain side. As he shoved Chi inside the tunnel he mustered up all the physical strength he could to land his fist right into the side of the wall. Upon impact the mountain shook all around them, the brick tunnel shattering above him as he jumped back out of the way with Chi into the tunnel. Bricks and earth rained down from the ceiling blocking off the entrance of the tunnel.
Off in the distance from a cliff above the tunnel stood Tyson was he watched the two of them fleeing from Valhalla. As he stood there he could see Valhalla coming to a stop in front of the now blocked passage way with a frustrated expression on his face. Chi and Fae had no way to realize that Valhalla would be a fourth year who knew where the tunnel would lead them. While he pondered chasing after them he caught sight of Tyson in the corner of his eye above him. Though he enjoyed hunting he knew Tyson was a ten year survivor and had never thought to risk his life against the man without reason. Regardless of how much Valhalla did not like the idea of getting in a fight with Tyson the two of them did not like each other.
"Like a dog chasing a tire you failed to stop the car." Tyson smirked as he stood there. A part of him was glad to see Chi and Fae escape into the tunnel while the other part knew that they would still not be out of the water.
"Did you just call me a dog, bastard?" Valhalla scoffed at him.
"Man, I must be imagining things because I hear a dog barking in the mountains.." Tyson pretending to yawn tilted his head to the side. His mask making it look more like a demon debating on plundering.
Not being able to read anything about Tyson's expressions was something that bothered Valhalla as well as others who tried to hunt. The man was unreadable which made it hard to tell what his temperament was in any given situation. Without knowing if the man felt any tinge of fear it became harder to press for intimidation. Just by standing atop that cliff with his dual bladed sword Tyson was able to make Valhalla's desire to press further against Tyson's attitude falter in the back of his mind. If it was not for the fact that they had ran into each other endlessly over the past few years in the Garden he would not have had the courage to speak out so early in the game.
"Leave." Tyson's head tilted straight down below. The tone of his voice was deep and to the point. If Valhalla would not leave the area he was resting in he would remove him by force. When it came to seniority in the Garden he definitely held more then Valhalla.
The four red eyes on his mask glowed a blood red as they stared down straight at Valhalla causing him to shudder slightly where he stood. Gritting his teeth firmly together his body instinctively backed away on it's own before he could realize what he was doing. It was obvious that Tyson was threatening his life if he did not leave right away. If he had known he would be running into him he would have chased someone else in a different direction and remained out of Tyson's domain.
After Valhalla had left to chase after Chi and Fae by heading them off where the tunnel in the mountainside lead to Tyson climbed down from the cliff. Walking over to the collapsed entrance he looked it over for a moment before removing a few of the larger rocks until there was a hole big enough for him to slip through. His body slowly and carefully slipping into the tunnel way through the hole he had made as he could still hear Chi and Fae running. The sounds of their quick steps and heavy breathing carrying for a long distance as they were rushing to escape Valhalla in case he had broken through the collapsed entrance.
"Decrepit Little Rabbit." Tyson sighed heavily to himself behind his mask as he listened to them panicking. His feet slowly carrying him in their direction with no hurry and no motive in mind other than his self curiosity on how they would do when Valhalla caught up to them.
Glancing to the side along the wall there was an occasional light that gave off just enough light to see where one would be stepping but it was still pretty dark and made it hard to tell where one was going. The tunnel was designed as nothing but something Numen had designed purely to add to his terrain. Tyson was aware of multiple places that were designed purely for entertainment as the deity watched them all kill each other. It was like how a person would setup the terrain for a dog show in Tyson's opinion.
