"No, I'm telling you it was like he was on to me!" A very flustered Loris shouted into the phone outside the back door of The Sunny Wolf while standing in the alleyway.
"If you can't get your part done and locate that damn rat of a brother of yours-" The voice on the phone was deep and calm while holding a tinge of danger as if the person was willing to crawl out of the phone just to put and end to Loris if he backed out on him.
"Wait, wait, wait! I'm holding up to my end of the deal! I'll find him and you won't have to worry about it. He's my brother I'm sure I can get him one way or another removed from your problem." Loris sighed heavily as his grip on the phone tightened.
"Well, well.. What might this situation be?" A voice called out from behind Loris with a smile so bright that the man was baring his teeth from the shadows while watching the conversation Loris was having with a delighted glint in his eyes. Both of his eyes were a different color from the other. His right eye was a bright blue while his left was pink.
Turning to glance at who was talking he wasn't able to see anyone. It was as if someone was spying on him from the shadows completely unable to be found by his eyes. The idea of the wrong person over hearing his conversation made his whole body get goosebumps causing him to slowly walk away from where he stood in hope that nobody had caught him on the phone.
"Aw, I wasn't done watching.." The man mumbled under his breath while crunching down on the butterscotch flavored sucker he was holding in his mouth; his sharp teeth shattering the sucker instantly in his mouth.
"Aki, what the hell are you doing out here?" The sound of Felix calling out to him from the back door shook him from his daze
"I was watching such a beautiful show!" Aki smiled brightly at Felix from where he was and quickly dashed up in front of Felix while scratching the back of his neck with his right hand. His natural soft orange hair was short, but extremely soft to the touch almost like a stuffed animal. He wore basic clothes under a bright white hoodie that could easily make a person contempt whether he was poor or simply did not care about what he wore.
"I told you to stop spying on the customers.. Every time you get involved with something it comes back to bite me in the ass!" Felix grabbed Aki by the back of his hoodie and started dragging him inside The Sunny Wolf.
"I wasn't spying! He was just careless while I was napping!" Aki flailed his arms slightly as if he had been wronged in some way for over hearing a conversation Loris was having on the phone. Simple minded as Aki was on the outside he was much more complicated in his mind as he enjoyed the way Felix took care of him over the years, but no matter how long Felix had known Aki there was still many things unknown.
Felix was aware that Aki kept a great deal of things from him, however as long as it was nothing serious he was not the type to pry into the issues and would simply brush them off. The only thing that pissed Felix off about Aki was the man enjoyed spying on others around him and the more troubling the issue a person had the more he enjoyed getting himself involved from the shadows which usually resulted in problems Felix had to clean up when Aki would get himself or someone else caught in the problem. He had seen many problems he caused end in disasters from simple beatings to people ending up in jail or dead in the worse case. Not all problems ended badly and indeed some did end in good ways, but it merely depended on the issue that Aki had grown interest in.
The only thing that worried Felix about Aki right now was the fact that Aki had seemed to show interest in Duan Cai ever since Duan Cai had first met Felix. Sparkling in his eyes he quickly had latched onto wanting to observe everything that went on around Duan Cai and those around him. It was like watching a cat stalking prey while wondering if the cat was actually going to pounce or let it simply go. How could someone not worry over such a walking trouble maker taking interest in something so dangerous to deal with? A frustrated scream caught in Felix's throat as he heaved a heavy sigh.
"You know I don't care what you get involved with, Aki, but do not go pissing off my boss. I know you well enough to know you weren't just napping in the middle of the damn alley this time." Felix shook his head as he turned to head back to his post at the bar counter. He was still on duty and could not waste his time watching Aki as much as he felt he should. Inside he could feel himself wanting to hesitate to let him out of his sight.
"Do not worry, I will behave myself!" Aki shouted with a bright smile and sparks of interest in his eyes as many thoughts were reeling throughout his mind until Felix was out of sight.
Slowly turning back towards the alley door a silent chuckle escaped his lips as he bared his sharp teeth, a slight two toned glow escaping his eyes as his body quickly and silently as a ghost dashed from the exit as if he had never been there to begin with. In place of where he had been was nothing but a remainder of silence and a soft sweet scent as the stick that once had a butterscotch sucker at the end, now empty, fell from the air to the floor as the only sign that Aki had been there in the bar.
