Chapter 18 - Is this still considered a date?

"Eep, back off!" She reels back, her face red. How? How did these three bastards able to find her diary? It's literally the most protected thing in her office. Unless they got the man that made it!

She backs off, leaving Remulus confused before she gets shoved forward. Her face smashing against his as a voice spoke behind her, "Oi! Aphrodite, is that good enough for you?"

A few hundred clicks of a camera follows, "Yes, Ares. Thanks for that!"

That was all she needed to hear as she pushes Remulus down his chair, her head snapping to the god behind her.

Ares stood, a small smirk on his face as he jumps back, a sword an inch away from his throat as Athena leaps with bloodlust in her eyes.

Apollo, who was enjoying his time, looks up from his lyre. "Oh? Are we doing a different beat?" He spins, "Guess we'll be going rock?" He strums the guitar, "Let's start a fight!"

Remulus then leans back with a chuckle, wiping his lips as he watches two beings of war fight. The mortals around them running away, screaming at the sight as the guitar intensifies.

Ares shouts. "Fuck yeah! Let's do this! Free for all!" He shouts as he takes a bottle and slams it against Hermes' head. Dionysus shouting in indignation.

And so, with a series of stupid and unfortunate events, the ensuing chaos dragged the young Olympians into a slugfest. Except Apollo, since we need someone for the musical accompaniment.

Remulus smiles. "It's always amusing to see them fight."

"Right?" A woman then walks beside him. Her hands filled with plates and various delectable delights, "I wanted to surprise you both, but it seems I was a bit too late."

Remulus grins, "Nonsense! I always appreciate your cooking. Nay! Your cooking is always desired!" He pats the chair beside him. "Sit with me so I can show my appreciation."

"Thanks!" The woman then giggles. Her wavy red hair flowing behind her as she relaxes on her seat, whispering beside him. "Who do you think would win?"

"I'd put my bet on Athena. A free for all is her style." Remulus points out.

Athena slices through Ares' hair as he cackles. Her sword, sliding on his sword as she shoves her elbow into Hermes' stomach.

"I put my bet on Ares!" Aphrodite chirps as she walks, dragging a seat behind her. "He's been training hard recently. I think he's excited about this."

Ares steps to the side and spun, burying his hand on Dionysus' stomach as he laughs loudly, his eyes filling with mirth.

"Oh?" He takes a bite of the meal before him and groans in delight. He turns behind him. "How about you Vlad? Who do you think is going to win?"

Vlad jolts. "What?" He shakes his head. "I knew there was now way you wouldn't find out."

The three raise an eyebrow as Remulus chuckles, "You're on the beach in all black? And you're obviously taking a video. I'm pretty sure you've been taking more than her."

Aphrodite giggles, "Guilty~" She then shoves her phone, "I have so many evidence for your little date! Even that kiss was the perfect ending."

Ares slams on the table behind her, the table exploding into pieces as he groans before dodging to the side as a staff slams on the ground, Dionysus glaring at him.

She takes a bite of her cake and gives a chef's kiss. "It's perfect!" She smiles at Hestia. "Both the cake and the picture."

"Thank you, I'm glad you like it." Hestia smiles, disregarding the chaos behind her. She turns to Vlad, "How about you, Mr. Dracul? Would you like some?"

Athena then shoves her leg out, Hermes tripping on her before she raises her leg, her shoe burying in his stomach as he slams against the floor.

"Yes! Your meals are legendary!" Vlad then shoves a spoonful before he groans, he then coughs in his hand. "Oh, and I think Hermes is definitely going to win. That speed of his is something else."

Hermes jumps away, holding onto his stomach before dashing forward, the soles on his shoes lighting up as he unleashes a barrage of kicks.

Remulus taps his chin. "Well, all of them are holding back, anyway." He shrugs, "So we can't really know, but I still think Athena wins with just her skills."

Athena raises her sword, her eyes following his every strike, deflecting each one before she crouches and spins, the hilt of her sword striking against his temple.

He drinks a spoonful of soup before pointing to it. "This one, though, it's a definite win."

Hestia chuckles, "C'mon now, you're making this old woman blush with such compliments." She then turns to her nephews and nieces. "They are really going at it, huh?"

She then snaps to Remulus, "Why did you even ask for a date?"

Remulus tilts his head forward, a sword stabbing on the railing inches away from his head. "I was actually trying to talk to her about Attie."

"You mean Her Cuteness?" Aphrodite giggles to herself, clapping excitedly. "Where is the little princess? I haven't seen her much these days."

Ares rips the sword off from behind him as Remulus' eyes moisten. "She blackmailed Zeus to avoid her duties as a princess." He sniffs. "I'm sorry, it's just, I'm so proud of her."

Hestia consoles him, rubbing his back as her eyes twinkle in amusement. The Goddess of Love giggles at the thought before asking, "So, she isn't returning?" She pouts, "I had all those dresses."

Vlad nods in affirmation. "I hope she doesn't. What Athena tried to do was horrible."

Athena punches Hermes in the face as she held Ares up by the throat, kicking Dionysus in the nuts as she silently glares at her three brothers, forcing them to surrender. Apollo ends his guitar riff, which no one actually bothered to listen to.

Hestia sighs. "Yes, my niece always uses her mind before her heart." She holds her cheek. "Changing her daughter's personality just because Attie can't help but curse? It definitely crossed a line."

Vlad blinks, "What? That's it?" He glances at Remulus, "And that's enough to start a war." He takes a swig before shrugging. "Then again, erasing a part of her personality? That's fucked up."

Remulus leans back, "Yes, it is. But it wasn't exactly erase, a mild distortion maybe?

Hestia nudges him with a smirk. "That's still isn't a good enough reason for a war. Well, for most people, it wouldn't be."

He chuckles, "I suppose you're right. But if your little daughter is crying to you for help, reason tends to take a backseat, right?"

He turns to Athena, who awkwardly shuffles as her three brothers lay down behind her, her eyes shifting to the side. "It was a lapse of judgement, I agree. It is a time when I forgot to think about her side. That's why I wanted to ask forgiveness."

"I don't get to decide your forgiveness." He turns away from her. "She'll meet you once she wants to. You deal with the consequences yourself."

A giant octopus then erupts from the sea, roaring and shrieking as its tentacles wreak havoc upon the beach, mortals running and screaming around it.

"Is that part of the consequences?" Vlad asks as he turns to him.

"No, it's not." He stills for a moment, unsure. "I hope it's not."
