Isaiah stood completely still. He was no longer surrounded by his friends.
Isaiah looked down at the orb. It was active and was much warm then when he first activated it, meaning it had worked.
Isaiah put the orb away and looked at his surroundings. Just as Isaiah was about to start walking his mace lit up.
It was glowing bright red, the color it glowed when Isaiah was channeling antimatter. A beam of antimatter whizzed by Isaiah's head.
It slammed into a boulder a ways away from him and exploded. The force of the blast was so huge that Isaiah was knocked back onto the ground. "What the heck was that?" Isaiah said under his breath.
Isaiah was immediately on alert because he now knew that he wasn't alone.
Isaiah began to walk around, trying to figure out the source of the beam. I've got a good idea of who I have to fight, I just need to figure out where he is. "Looking for me?" a voice called out. Isaiah whipped around to see a man stepping towards him.
The man was similar in build to Isaiah but slightly shorter. Isaiah was beginning to sweat.
He could feel the massive amounts of energy that this guy was radiating. 'Why do you people just sneak up on kids like that?" Isaiah asked.
"Force of habit I guess," the man replied. Without warning, the man hurled a ball of antimatter at Isaiah. Isaiah leaned to the side and dodged the ball.
However, the ball struck the ground next to him and exploded. Isaiah was launched into the air. "Attacking already? I don't even know your name," he said, struggling to regain his balance in midair.
"Who I am isn't important," the man said. "What should matter is what I can do." The man fired another beam of antimatter at Isaiah. Isaiah pulled out his mace and spun it quickly in front of him blocking the beam.
Isaiah used some antimatter to propel himself forward, charging his mace in the process. He reached the mand and swung his mace, leaving a trail of fire in the air.
The mace slammed into the man. A shockwave blasted across the asteroid as the man was propelled backward at an alarming rate.
The man slammed into another asteroid, cracking its surface in the process. Isaiah touched his feet to the ground before looking toward where the man should have landed.
The dust that had been kicked up began to glow red before a massive beam of antimatter tore through it. The beam hits Isaiah directly, blasting him through the asteroid, blowing it up at the same time.
Isaiah careened through space before slamming into another asteroid. Isaiah wheezed for air. The blow had winded him and he was struggling to get up. Isaiah rubbed his chest as he slowly stood.
Isaiah reached down to pick up his mace while checking his surroundings to make sure he was safe. Suddenly, a fireball came racing towards Isaiah.
Isaiah held his mace like a baseball bat and swung it into the fireball, deflecting it back towards where it came.
The fireball swerved in midair and came back towards Isaiah. Isaiah hadn't readied his stance again and was hit by the fireball.
It turned out that the fireball was actually the man. The man grabbed Isaiah by his collar and dragged him across the asteroid.
Isaiah gagged as his mouth was filled with dirt and rock and his flesh was peeled from his back.
Isaiah's eyes glowed red for a split second and there was a massive explosion, pushing the man back. Isaiah had vented his energy, creating the blast.
Isaiah sat on the remains of an asteroid, spitting out dirt and rock. Man, this guy isn't playing around, Isaiah thought solemnly.
The man still had his fiery aura around him and was floating closer to Isaiah. "I don't just use my antimatter for blowing things up," the man said. The man's aura was crackling as dust particles floated into the antimatter and exploded immediately.
"Who are you?" Isaiah asked. "My name is Alvis," the man replied.
"That's the last name you will ever hear." Alvis rushed at Isaiah. Isaiah raised his mace to block him, causing Alvis to grab it.
The two struggled over the mace, each trying to pull it out of the other's grip. "Dark Inferno," Isaiah yelled. A shadowy fist struck Alvis in the face, knocking him away. It gave Isaiah just enough time to flee and hide behind some rocks.
He's way too fast for me to get another clean hit with my mace, Isaiah thought to himself. Isaiah pulled out a device and attached it to his armor.
That'll be the first official test of my amplification matrix version 2, Isaiah continued. The moment the device was mounted it began to hum quietly. Stipes began to glow red on the machine showing that it was charged.
Runic symbols began to appear on the central panel. Each rune would appear for a second before disappearing and being replaced by another.
Isaiah stopped it on a particular rune and tapped the machine. The rune disappeared and a red aura began to appear around Isaiah. Isaiah's mind began to race. Now, we test it out, Isaiah thought. Isaiah jumped over the rocks he was hiding behind and came face-to-face with Alvis. Alvis threw a punch that Isaiah dodged easily.
Isaiah ducked and struck Alvis three times in the stomach. Alvis doubled over and Isaiah swiftly uppercut him. "Nightfall," Isaiah called.
His mace came flying from around the asteroid he had been dragged across. Isaiah jumped up and caught Nightfall.
He spiked Alvis towards the ground. Alvis tried to turn over to land on his feet. But Isaiah wouldn't allow that to happen. Isaiah dashed under Alvis and pointed his mace upwards.
He fired a concentrated beam of antimatter at Alvis. The shockwave of the beam itself was enough to blow away several asteroids.
Alvis was blasted back into the adjacent asteroid where he lay still. Isaiah looked upwards, sighing a breath of relief.
Despite the fact that Alvis wasn't moving, Isaiah could feel that the battle wasn't over.
Just as he'd had that feeling, a massive explosion destroyed the asteroid. Isaiah shielded his eyes from the blinding light it created.
Once the light died down, Isaiah looked up and what he saw terrified him.
Alvis was floating in the middle of the asteroid debris. His aura was even bigger and brighter than it had been. Alvis's eyes were glowing bright red. Isaiah knew he would have to fight Alvis. However, he didn't want to.
