Chapter 22 - Wrong Cure For A Hangover

"How are you feeling?" Tracy asked as we walked down the stairs to the Inn's Dining area.

"Please just tell me there is a healer, or at least an apothecary in this town," I grumbled, holding my head up with one hand.

Death would be much kinder than this.

Possibly being covered in tar and lit on fire like a torch might also be better.

"Haha! You are alive!" Boomed Tom so damn loud I fell over.

Annie's father's loud voice had been like a hammer to my head, and my legs ceased to obey my commands as I hit the floor. This was beyond the worst hell that could possibly be imagined!

"Talon!" Both girls cried as they helped me back up.

"You know, you sure aren't that resistant for a God!" Tom laughed at me.

"Yup, my best quality is that I am charming in all situations! So at least I look good making an ass out of myself!" I laughed weakly, flexing a bit of Charisma.

"I will give you that! Get yourself to see Bob; he should be able to heal you," Tom laughed, but something clicked in my brain.

"Gah! I'm an idiot! I had a healer with me the whole time! Tracy, repeat…" I declared but then had to pause because I felt like I was going to be sick before continuing with, "After me! Reverso Pio Blesserus!"

As I said it, I realized something at the last second, but it was too late.

"Reverso Pio Blesserus!" Tracy said without hesitation; that's my girl, but I made a crucial mistake.

Six green rings of magical inscriptions snapped into place as Tracy drew Mana up from the ground. I could have stopped it, but it would have made me in worse shape than I already was; plus, it wasn't that bad of a mistake.

The circles all started to turn and lock in place, and once the final stopped green light burst out from Tracy. I instantly felt like a hundred gold ren, but that was because the spell Tracy just used was meant to turn outdated and rotten drinking into Potions of Restorative Blessings.

I had to travel by boat for a week to a small island with no entry; I climbed an eighty-foot cliff with nothing but shorts! Then battle an island full of Naga and invade a temple guarded by the Queen of the Naga just to get that spell!

I never killed the Queen; she proved to be an even match, so we settled it over the best oral sex. I had gone first and treated it like my mission and never got my turn.

Still, I had gotten the spell, but I left the armor, gold, and a few weapons. I might have to make a trip back out there with the girls because there was stuff that would be useful for them.

"Hey! I feel much better! I was feeling a bit gross, but what the hell did you do to my booze?! Even the beer is clear now!" Tom demanded, bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Have to get new stuff, but every bottle that you have and barrel just increased its price by tenfold," I explained.

"What are you talking about?! You botched my booze! How am I going to sell this clear stuff ten times?!" Tom growled, and I walked over to the counter that he was standing on the other side of.

"How are you feeling right now? Besides the hangover? Any aches and pains? You can tell me an old fart like you don't have them! This old fart knows!" I said slyly.

"Huh? Now that you mention it, I really do feel like a new man! What are you trying to say? That all my booze turned into some kind of super potion or something?!" Tom asked, leaning forward with money signs in his eyes.

Got em!

"Exactly! Now, think what this would be worth to someone badly hurt? Older people? Really, anyone," I said rhetorically with a shrug.

"Are you really saying that you are giving this to us?!" Dorthy asked, finally speaking up and coming over to join her husband.

"Giving? I am the one that made this mess, and I didn't even cast the spell! Although I did go through hell and back just to find the spell in my previous life," I said, but then grunted as Annie came up beside me to jab me with her elbow.

"Don't act like you did anything other than getting stupid drunk and screwed up giving Tracy the wrong spell, you idiot!" Annie growled, and I rolled my eyes.

"Potato, tomato, the same difference at this point. Regardless, I am just securing our logging and three square meals a day! I am not trying to profit from this," I said indignantly, and Annie sighed.

"Well, the town's gonna be pissed for the next two days, but everyone will be healthy! New booze shipment comes then, but I am going to have to send a horse and rider out to increase the order!" Tom laughed but was cut short when Dorthy jabbed an elbow into his gut.

"Stop being so loud! We are inside, and everyone is within arms reach! You keep this up, and you are gonna need those potions!" Dorthy growled at her husband, making him put up his hands in defense.

I had to laugh at this, but then she turned on me, to my surprise.

"Don't think she will let you get away with that rowdy behavior either!" Dorthy warned, and I flinched when I saw the mischievous look on Annie's face.

"I think that we should get going! We have training, right?" Tracy asked suddenly, wrapping her arms around mine and pushing against me, so her super soft breasts hugged my arm as well.

"Umm, yeah, that is today's plan, right?" I said more awkwardly than I had intended.

"Yeah, you are going to train me to, right?" Annie asked, mimicking Tracy but with a bit less coverage.

This was great and confusing all at the same time.
