"Fine! I am gonna help you two, but first, how do you know each other?! Next! Forsake that cursed bitch in the sky, Jessel!" I demanded, and both girls grabbed each other in fright.
"You can't actually be serious?! That is the God of this world! We might as well forfeit our lives!" Tracy cried.
"You have lost your mind! Going down that path was a better idea than that!" Annie exclaimed, and I sighed.
There was no easy way to do this, so I walked over to Annie and offered out my hand.
"Dagger," I said, and Annie looked at me with a worried look but pulled out a dagger, placing it in my hand.
"What do you want with it?" Annie asked as she watched me grip it in my hand.
I opened my other hand and then stabbed it.
Both girls screamed, and Tracy feinted, sliding down the side of Annie. She was horrified at first, but now she couldn't understand what she was seeing.
"I am not like you, I am like here, but I was cast out, Nameless. I can't die, but I can't become the one to win the fights either. I made mistakes in my previous life, and now I am paying for them. The gods all hate me, so it might be better if you go your own way if you can't forsake that woman," I said, looking up into the sky.
It was better to get this part out of the way. If not, there would always be a chance for that witch in Heaven to try to make me pay for her failure.
All these stupid gods, all crying about this, but now they try to hurt others just to get their way. I was surprised that I was able to turn back; I thought Jessel would have forced me.
*I will not penalize you for making the right choice. Make the wrong ones, and Jessel will make you pay dearly. Nothing I can do about that, but the loincloth suits you! Watch your thoughts about me next time, boy, or we will have an even more extended talk.*
"Talon!" Both girls screamed as I finally came to my senses.
It was a slight vibration at the start of the talk, but as the All-Mighty kept talking, the vibrations got worse. Soon my whole body was tearing itself apart, and my mind was starting to fragment.
I might not be able to die, but if he talked longer, I don't know what would have been left when I came back. I was on the verge of my mind being torn apart.
"I am fine. I was just having a talk with someone very important, and they were mad at me," I said with a smile, sitting up.
"Was it Jessel?" Annie asked.
"You heard me say the important part, right?" I asked, frowning.
"Who is more important than our Goddess?" Tracy asked.
"The All-Mighty, but I don't want to talk about it," I said, picking at some grass.
I was still sore about the starting items, but I guess I did curse him numerous times.
"Who is that?" Annie asked.
"Doesn't matter. What are you doing, cause it's almost lunchtime? If we can't kill something, then we have to do things the old fashion way!" I said, getting up off the ground.
"What do you think?" Tracy asked, getting back up herself and looking at Annie.
"I guess so. These blades are sharp, so that was no trick! I don't know what to make of you, but I think we should trust you for some reason. I forsake the Goddess Jessel and take up the Guidance of the Nameless God," Annie said, going down to one knee before me, and Tracy did the same.
"I also forsake the Goddess Jessel and take up the Guidance of the Nameless God," Tracy repeated.
This was all weird, and I really had nothing to offer but what they asked for, so I guess it was alright. I was sure that Jessel was royally pissed right now and throwing a tantrum, but now I could trust these two at least.
One of them could become a hero, or we might find one on the way; who knew. This was going to be uphill all the way from here, but things could be worse.
"Okay! Let's go back into town and find some people to help!" I cheered, and both the girls looked at me strangely.
"Huh?" Both asked, looking at me with blank stares.
"Unless one of you is paying for lunch and loggings, we need money to survive! I was cast down with what you see, so we better get working!" I said and marched into town.
"Stupid broke God!" Annie complained from behind me, but the two were following me now, so there was that.
Truth be told, there wasn't really a lot going on in this place, and I had never really helped anyone before. I am sure that makes me a horrible person, but that was spilled beer; no getting back from the dirty tavern floors of the past.
"Hey!" I said, turning around to look at the girls.
"What?!" Annie growled.
"What has got your panties riding so high up right now?" I asked, leaning forward, narrowing my eyes.
"W-W-What?!" Annie squeaked, jumping back.
"Why are you acting like such a child now? We have to work to make money. How have you two been eating? You do know each other, right?" I asked, a little suspicious.
"Of course! I met Tracy three months ago when she came to town. She is the only one who doesn't mind the way I act! We help in the kitchen at the Inn," Annie explained, and I nodded.
"Good, but that is boring! We need to make some good money, so we need to find someone that needs help! I suck at this stuff; I can tell what more people want because I always said I would later, but now I am here. Stupid, but that's why they call me Nameless, right?" I laughed.
