Chapter 11 - Charismatic Reveal!

Sleeping in the same room with a girl was fine, but then again, was it? My Charisma hasn't caused me too many problems as of yet, but that could change fast.

I did not want my party members starting to jump me at night, but I wasn't sure how to do that. I had no experience with women in the sexual sense, but I wasn't scared of them, there were just two, and that was awkward.

"So, there is one thing that I have left out," I said suddenly, and Annie looked at me, lifting an eyebrow.

"And what might that be?" Annie asked, and I dug in my loincloth.

Annie's eyes went big, and she put a hand to her mouth in what almost looked like anticipation. I pulled out my License and handed it over, and Annie let out a sigh.

"Huh? What?! How is that even possible?! Your Charisma can't be that high! I mean, you are mostly naked, and everyone seems fine with that, but shouldn't everyone be drooling over you?" Annie asked with surprise.

"I was wondering about that, but I think that I can control it to a degree. Still, this is something that both you girls need to know about me. I don't want you to do anything that you don't want to!" I said, and Annie flushed and looked away, handing me my License back.

"Wow, I didn't notice it before, but I fully trust that you mean that. There can't be another answer, but I don't feel like taking my clothes off if that's what you are worried about," Annie said, and I sighed.

"I will just be careful. Now, you're a Rogue, Tracy is a Mage, and I am a Bard. Honestly, this is a horrible team, so while I train you two, we need to find a tank or a frontliner," I explained, and Annie nodded.

"I agree with you, and I will ask my mom. Maybe we should take the rest of the day off? I can get mom to give me money for the ax, tusks, and Gems I found, and we can get you something to wear," Annie offered, and I nodded.

"That sounds like a pretty good plan. Is there a bath here? I should get cleaned up if we are going to see a tailor," I said, and Annie nodded.

"I am going to talk to mom, and I'll bring the food up. The shared bath is the first door on your right when you leave this room. I'll unlock it and bring you a key when I come back. Towels and soap are in there," Annie explained, and I nodded as she left the room and leaned back.

I came into the world with nothing, but things were shaping up. Still, I had to be wary.

Jessel would be out for blood now, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Orc had been her doing, but she wasn't the only problem. If this world was anything like my last, there would be people and monsters that would actively try to get in my way.

I closed my eyes and sighed.

I would have still been hunting the Orc back to its source back in my old world, but I would have left that woman to die. I just assumed that other people would take care of it since I was dealing with the thing that they couldn't.

I opened my eyes back up and stood up. Things were going to be different this time; they had to be!

I was going to get my damn day off!

I would just enjoy a warm bath and a good soak for now. It was nice that the bathing room was so close to us, and when I entered the place, there was a massive spring almost twenty feet wide.

I wasn't even going to try to imagine why this Inn in the backcountry had such a lovely bathing area. I just took my rag off and grabbed the stool, getting to work on scrubbing myself off, but something didn't feel right.

"I can feel you watching me," I said as I continued to scrub myself.

"Wah?! How did you know?!" A small female voice squeaked, and I heard the buzz of tiny wings.

Fae creature, probably a Water Spite, but possibly a forest sprite.

"What do you want, you beady-eyed trickster?" I asked, not really having the patience for this thing.

They tried to lure people into their rings, but they were just teleportation pads to the Fae Kingdom. Technically, you could go there, but eating or drinking there seals you from ever leaving.

"You talked to that old man, and he told you about our ring, so why haven't you come? Too many beautiful women already?" The Sprite asked me.

"Your kind can be dangerous, and the way you make choices are as reliable as the direction of the wind. What reason could the Fae want with someone like me?" I asked in a lulling voice.

I wanted to try something. Fae were known to be able to charm and immune to being charmed, but that was magically speaking.

I turned around and grabbed the bucket, seeing the small palm-sized naked Sprite. I dumped the water over me and then got into the water.

The Sprite watched me the entire time but didn't say anything.

"Do you have a name?" I asked, looking up at the small creature with a smile, and the creature flinched back.

Perfect.

"What are you? Why don't I want you to come now? I am actually worried about you coming! I must go!" The spite exclaimed in almost fright and then disappeared.

Now that was a success, and I think that I could get away with doing this one on my own. I was going to try to find things to help the party out, like magical items and such, but there was one thing I was after.

If I could convince one of the royalty to align with me, I could get a strong Familiar with each of the girls and myself! That would save us from finding more strangers to add!

I relaxed back in the tub and closed my eyes. No point in celebrating yet.

Time flows differently in the Fae Kingdom, and they were a crafty bunch. I would have to keep my guard up and make sure to keep talking.

I was going to have to naturally charm the unnatural charmers.
