"You had no friends?" Tracy asked.
"Huh? No, I didn't need to sleep, and I just had to get rid of the Demons. Why make other people do a job that I could do alone?" I asked.
"How long did it take you? Didn't you get lonely?" Annie asked, and I shrugged.
"Don't worry about it. I am here to try something different this time, but that means making money!" I declared, and both girls nodded.
Jessel was beating one of her Demon servants to frustrate her anger back in Heaven. She could believe that little worn made two of her own forsake her!
Jessel got off the Demon, and it got up like nothing had happened. Not a single make on him.
"Thank you, Tagorvia. Now, I will send you ahead to the next town, and I want you to subvert as many as possible. Your only job is to get in the Nameless God's way. That is all," Jessel instructed, and the giant purple bull Demon nodded.
"As you command, Goddess of The Dragon Fist," The Demon said, and the portal to Dessra slammed down in front of him, and he walked through with no hesitation.
"Now, I will be able to watch him squirm. Let him do what he wants for now, but he won't be satisfied staying in this crummy town once he hears about Tagorvia! Ha! This is perfect!" Jessel cackled.
What the Goddess didn't know was just how different this Nameless God was from the rest, but the All-Mighty kept that to himself. It pained him to do this to one of his own children, but he was the only one of them that could deal with all the trouble.
I sneezed as I walked behind the girls, rubbing my nose. So far, we had helped one old man that had lost his hat and got three loaves of bread.
Nothing spectacular, but I hadn't needed to eat in years, so it was great. The girls ate theirs happily as well, but now we were back on the hunt.
"People in this town are pretty self-sufficient, it seems," Tracy said, looking around at the few people out walking.
"Yeah, the town is pretty quiet most of the time," Annie said, but just then, there was a scream from the other side of town.
"That would be our cue!" I called, and both the girls looked at me.
"What about before? And learning our abilities?!" Annie exclaimed, and I nodded.
"Sure, you have Quick-Step and BackStab, right? Tracy can only use their one spell, and I can stun the enemy. Now, let's go!" I yelled, and the girls looked worried, but they nodded.
The three of us ran across town, and a woman was lying on the ground, not moving. A green creature stood over top of her, lifting an ax.
Orc.
[Stunning Language]
"Stop, you piece of green shit!" I yelled, and the word flew out of my mouth in a strange twisting purple and green beam, making the ax freeze near the woman.
Annie rushed ahead with blinding speed, getting behind the creature and stabbing it till it fell.
Thankfully, I looked around, but there weren't any others in sight; this was a pretty tough creature. Annie had stabbed seven times even with Backstab, meaning that the Orc was over level ten.
"I'm sorry I couldn't help!" Tracy said from behind me, but I shook my head.
"It just wasn't your turn yet. You can't use normal magic, and I don't think there are many alive that can teach you the one you need to learn. Come, let's go help that woman," I said, and Tracy gave me a strange look but followed me.
This would be fine, but she would be tired after this. Since Tracy held no control, this next one was going to be a doozy.
"Put your hand on the woman; I just checked if she is still breathing. Annie, take all the stuff from the Orc and then go let Mrs. Dorthy know," I explained, and Annie nodded.
"What am I supposed to do next?" Tracy asked nervously.
"Just repeat after me, Ghaia Rensu Helithia," I said, and I braced myself for what was to come next as Tracy repeated what I said.
Thirty or more magical green, white, and yellow circles burst out from Tracy and started to spin as they locked in place. I had never seen so many rings in all of my life before this, and this was a starting place for adventurers.
It was much worse than I could have ever imagined, but at least no one could get hurt from this, but it was still kind of ridiculous. How could one girl have so much damn power inside her?!
There was no way to tell just how far the healing effect had gone, but it was safe to say that every person in town had been healed of anything that was bothering them. Jackpot!
I looked over, and the swirling purple light from Tracy's eyes vanished; she looked at me for a moment and smiled. Then she passed out, but I caught her in my arms; the girl had done more than reasonable.
"What just happened? I was being attacked by a monster, and I thought I was dead! How am I still alive?" The woman who had been injured asked as she looked up at me.
"You were saved by these two Heroes. I was just here to yell at people!" I laughed, but Annie was still staring at the passed-out Tracy in my arms.
"Was that really all Tracy?" Annie asked.
"Yeah, she far exceeded what I had predicted. Both of you are going to make splendid Heroes one day, but for now, let's go get a bounty and get ready to collect from all the people we just healed!" I said as I stood up, holding Tracy with a big smile.
"You are really going to collect money from people that Tracy happened to heal?!" Annie exclaimed, and I shrugged.
