After telling her what she didn't know even though not all of it, sh3 did not seem so interested in the story. She did not even say goodbye and
left me. I could tell she was angry and frustrated but I had no choice, maybe she would think it through after spending some time alone. This is what she needed right now that's why I did not follow her or try to stop her. I've been into magick since I was born and even though I'm younger than her I know a lot of things about her family than she herself knows. Her parents never wanted her to know it because they thought that she would always be safe and that they would be able to protect her. I've been living in her cave and there was a diary in her mermaid's chest. Just from its touch, I could tell that it was linked to her mother and it was written magically. If she yet didn't know who she was then she wouldn't be able to read it. You just see it as a piece of art on every page with drawings that you can't understand and writings that can't be interpreted. I didn't mean to poke my nose into it but I could feel the power and that led me to read it.
It talked about how her mother drowned the city of Atlantis, how she had tried to stop herself from making the waves that killed thousands of fish and other small water dwellers, how she has never been able to get over the incident that gives her sleepless nights every time she tried to close her eyes. I interpreted the drawings and I could clearly get the picture of what she was talking about. In the diary, she said that she was afraid of her own self and afraid of hurting others as she did in Atlantis. She spoke about how she has been managing to keep all these secrets from her daughter Oceania. She could feel that Oceania was more powerful than her because as a goddess she could feel the power inside Oceania. This is the one thing she had been doing everything to make sure that her daughter never got to realize who she was, the power inside her resided in her anger and she felt that if she could drown the city of Atlantis then Oceania could do much worse. She felt that she needed to protect her daughter because she hadn't been able to protect herself from the wrath she created, she didn't want that for Oceania. She wanted her to live freely in the ocean just like any other mermaid.
I read through the book and the more I interpreted the diagrams she had drawn, the more I got to know how she had suffered. I got to understand the reason why she and her husband had kept it a secret from Oceania, they didn't want her to get hurt. The last page of the book is what I would say was directed to me. It was written, "If you are reading this notebook, then you must be a great warlock with the blood of the ancient and most powerful warlocks running through your veins, I wrote this because my daughter would not understand it no matter how hard she tries, that's because I never want her to find out on her own, I've been looking for a warlock to help her learn how to use and control her powers, only a tries warlock of the pure blood can do that, and only that warlock can interpret the drawings and the writings here. I've decided to use an ancient magical writing language because if no warlock finds this, then no one else not even my own daughter can understand it. But if it falls into the hands of a warlock then id be glad if you help my daughter, remember that this is a command from the goddess of the ocean but I still ask kindly, help my daughter. I can feel that my end is coming, the bloodsuckers are coming for me and I won't fight this time around, I don't want to hurt anyone, they will go after my daughter and all others of my kind too but if you help her then she might be able to end this before it goes too far."
I've read the notebook more than ten times just to confirm that maybe I was not hallucinating about it. I'm a pure-blood warlock, and that's why even though I'm younger, my skills are far beyond any other warlocks in both land and the sea. Maybe there is a reason as to why I'm the one who found the notebook. I'd say it's because I understand Oceania more than anything, I'm able to feel her pain and her anger. If this was the last wish of the goddess then I will gladly honor it. The bloodsuckers, night creatures, and the cold ones of the lands known as the vampires were a threat to every mermaid alive. Their existence meant our destruction and they would stop at nothing just to make sure that we are all done. They have a fast speed as that of lighting, skin as pale as death, and fangs that would stop at nothing to make sure that they suck someone's blood dry. Reading the notebook made me realize that we were not at war with the humans, but with the vampires.
According to how the notebook described it, the vampires have always wanted to be the only powerful creatures, and that's why they started the war with the underwater dwellers when they realized that there were other powerful creatures. The war got intense when she drowned Atlantis, which was the city of the vampires. Ninety percent of the population in Atlantis was made of vampires. The remaining ones hold a very huge grudge against the mermaids and that meant that there would be no peace between the two.
I've read human stories and they only think that mermaids and vampires are myths. So if there was a war, then only the vampires know where to find the mermaids, and they have kept it from the humans because they will be exposed too. If humans came to learn that there were other creatures in their land, then the vampires would be at risk much more than the mermaids, because the mermaids can hide themselves in the deepest waters where no human can reach and be safe, unlike the vampires who are only a few and live in the humans land.
