He already had his investigation done, and was quite concerned regarding the matter. It would be disrespectful of telling his master about the consequences if this affairs grow in further, but at the same time he couldn't afford his master to lose his career.
After a lot of thinking, he finally came up with a plan to indirectly tell him when an opportunity strikes, but to his surprise, his wish came back running knocking on his door.
Eric didn't looked awestruck like the previous night, instead he had a 'thrilled' face. Which was an omen that something bad was gonna happen to his rival party.
