Chapter 1 - My comfy bed!

The reflection of the sun shone in a dimly lit bedroom as the curtains were pulled apart.

Ruolan frowned as she felt the ray of light on her face. She pulled the covers over her head for more beauty sleep. She felt the cover dragged off her body and lazily opened her eyes to the angry voice she heard:

"You are risking your allowance for this month if you don't get your lazy ass off bed right now!"

Ruolan stretched and yawned, "Good morning sis. Isn't it too early to wake me up?" she asked in annoyance.

"This is half-past two in the afternoon and you think it's too early to wake up? Ruolan Tang! When are you going to ever be serious with your life? I reminded you time and time again to not forget what today is, but with the way I see you right now, it seems you did." Su Tang lectured.

"Ugh, not again. Because you are a morning bird doesn't mean I have to be like you..." she grumbled before she said aloud, "...thank you, I love my life the way it is. As for what day it is today, I didn't forget. If I can't do it today, I still have tomorrow, and please sis, stop threatening me with my allowance. I can just sleep in my room the whole month without stepping out," She rolled her eyes.

Su Tang sighed. "Whatever. I want to see you downstairs in twenty minutes and oh, make sure to come down dressed up like a decent girl you aren't and with your credentials too." She turned and headed to the door.

"Isn't twenty minutes too short? Sis, how am I supposed to get ready in twenty minutes!"

"Eighteen minutes left!" Su Tang said with an evil smile before the door was closed.

"F*ck, I hate you!" Ruolan yelled and slapped her cover in annoyance.

"I hate you more!" Su Tang opened a crack on the door and said into the room before she shut it and walked away.

Ruolan Tang grumpily threw her covers to the floor and stumped her feet hard on the fluffy light purple rug and headed to the bathroom while grumbling.

********

Eighteen minutes later, Ruolan went downstairs all ready with her black and white backpack slung on her shoulder, leaving the other strap flowing freely.

Su Tang who was sitting on a creamy couch in the sitting room gently sipping on coffee and reading a business magazine raised her gaze when she heard the sound of footsteps clumping hard on the stairs.

She saw the girl with shades of purple and blue balayage hair with two braids in the middle and face bare if makeup, walking over to her with her vibe screaming 'anger!'

Su Tang raised her wrist to look at the time and smiled. "Even if you are frivolous and atrocious, I hate to say I like you for your only good quality.... Promptness."

"Well, that's good for me and bad for you because I don't find any good quality in you." Ruolan retorted and gave her a smug look.

"I had no idea your sense of judgment has become so terrible, Tsk. Tsk. Tsk." Su Tang shook her head. "Eating anything? If yes, then you have just two minutes to do so and if no, let's go."

"Do you take me for a dog now? How do I eat in just two minutes? Sis are you becoming more ruthless or it was I who never saw this side of you earlier?"

"I'm not surprised you're just finding out. You have been dumb since birth anyway. It's already past one minute. Fifty seconds won't be enough for you to pick your food considering how lazy you are. Get going, I have work to do." Su Tang picked up her branded white handbag on

 the table.

"You are not going to starve me are you?" Ruolan stared unblinkingly at her sister with a face that says, 'i can't believe this!'

Su Tang looked at that face and chuckled, then she said: "I wouldn't want to have a dead person in my house."

Ruolan nodded, "You still have a conscience," she replied and started walking towards the front door.

Su Tang sighed and shook her head.

"Oldest miss, did you wake her up?" Butler Wong asked from the kitchen door. He had been observing the sisters since Ruolan came down.

"What else could I have done?"

"No wonder," the Butler chuckled before Su Tang walked away to catch up with Ruolan.

**********

At the garage, eight different cars ranging from a McLaren P1, Rolls Royce Phantom, Bentley, Porsche, Aston Martin, BMW, and Range Rover to a low-key Mercedes Benz sat dormant, waiting to be picked.

The vintage Mercedes Benz and BMW were left behind by their parents who died mysteriously twelve years ago.

Ruolan Tang stood in the garage staring at the two low-key cars without revealing any emotions.

She was five when their parents died. Her older sister Su Tang was seventeen at that time and was raised alone by her.

"Ahem," Su Tang cleared her throat to get her attention. 'It seems she has thought far again', she thought.

Ruolan turned her gaze to her sister.

"Time is running out. Get in," She turned and was about to open the driver seat to the Porsche car when Ruolan asked.

"Why should I get in? The way to your company is not the same as the route I'm taking."

"Get in, I'm dropping you off," Su Tang said.

"No," Ruolan folded her arm on her chest staring daggers at her older sister.

Su Tang sighed and decided to ask what she already knew the answer to. "Why are you so grumpy today? Did you have a bad dream?"

"Yes, I did. I saw you in my dream waking me up from sleep," Ruolan sarcastically said and rolled her eyes.

Su Tang laughed, "I'm not going to apologize for that. You haven't seen anything yet. Get in now or you will walk to your new school...On foot." She got into the driver's seat, waiting for the lazy ass who can't do anything properly except argue with her. Ruolan is always like this whenever she was woken from sleep. It doesn't matter who the person was, she must hold a grudge against whoever did.

Ruolan glared at her before walking towards the car. You have to kill her first before expecting her to walk to school.

"If you want to go blind then keep glaring. Let me warn you, once you go blind, I am marrying you off to a Humpty Dumpty man from a poor family where you will have to work like a donkey if you want to have something to eat."

"Your threat won't work on me. Humph" She got into the front passenger seat with discontentment written on her face.

"Here," Su Tang passed her a paper bag and Ruolan accepted it still sulking. She smiled when she brought out the content in the bag.

"I know you are not coldhearted," she said as she bit into her favorite KFC chicken and followed it with a spoonful of ice cream.

"How do you even eat that?" Su Tang frowned.

"What else do you know aside from making money? This is one delicious meal, but you wouldn't know that."

"Not being stupid and lazy." Su Tang answered making Ruolan roll her eyes.

Su Tang kick-started the engine and it roared to life, then stepped on the accelerator and zoomed off leaving two black cars with guards following behind them.

"Sis, why are you wearing your office dress if you are only taking me for registration?" Asked Ruolan who was halfway done eating. Her sister was wearing her signature white trouser and blazer– A typical powerful CEO.

"I wasn't done with work in the office before rushing back to get you. The butler told me they couldn't get into your room." She said while her concentration was on the road.

"Yeah, I locked the door with a key–"

"I know that dummy! Seriously you should stop doing that. What if something bad happens in the house? Like a fire burst out? What would you do! You threw away or let me say confiscated the other pairs of keys from Uncle Wong. I had to make him call the doorman to break your door lock." From the corner of her eyes, she saw Ruolan trying to say something but because there was ice cream in her mouth, she couldn't utter a word.

"Don't even think about it. Henceforth your keys will be with uncle Wong and if you dare pressure him into disobeying me, watch out, cause you will be the one to suffer"

"And I was just about to change the way I thought about you. Thank God I haven't said you are the kindest person ever," Ruolan snorted and continued eating.

"Who wants to be considered 'good' by a person like you?" Su Tang laughed.

The two sisters continued to banter like that until Ruolan fell asleep in the car.

.....

The University's bar gate was opened and Su Tang drove in with Ruolan looking out the window and taking in the beautiful scenery.

She marveled at how clean, aesthetic, gigantic, and opulent the school was.

Although the way to the university was nothing near beautiful but was rather scary with little to no cars seen on their way here, however, what baffles her is the unrealistic structure and architecture of the buildings ahead of them. They were skyscrapers in different weird shapes and she was very sure she hadn't heard nor seen something like those before.

Seeing how Ruolan poked her head out of the window while looking at the buildings with her lips parted, Su Tang asked: "You like the school?"

Ruolan didn't take her gaze off what caught her attention before she unhurriedly answered, "If the road here wasn't looking so creepy maybe I would have liked it."

Su Tang only smiled faintly before she changed the topic. "The school and its environment suits you the most. I hope by the time you come out of here in four years, you would have made at least a friend and done away with your comfort in laziness. Your scores don't matter. Do not pressurize yourself. You have your big sister to take care of you until you grow old."

"As if," she scoffed at her words. Do away with laziness? Dream on! Why would she have to study or make friends? She was just going to sleep in class the whole day and go home once the class is over to her comfy bed, so what's with the lecture? It's not like they won't be seeing each other daily.

Thinking of her comfy bed, she frowned. She was already missing the comfort and warmth of her bed!
