Chapter 7 - Seven

"This is so much harder than my last job." I said to the girl who was stationed at the photocopier machine, she smiled at me as she took the papers from me, this was the seventh time that I had received this type of order and other than that, it had been little things like getting Julian a cup of coffee and so on.

I looked at my watch consciously, I was timing my exit so that I can make it to the cinema in time for my date with Carl, it was already fifteen minutes to four and I was supposed to be there at six, I talked to the shy girl who was busy making photocopies for me.

"When is the closing time?" I asked her and she just stared blankly.

"Huh?" she replied with a dumb expression on her face.

"What time do you guys go home?"

She finally understood and she let out a small laugh.

"I keep forgetting that you are new here, we close by half past four."

After that she went mute, I gathered my copies and thanked her as I went back to my boss, it felt weird calling him that.

Julian was not alone when I entered his office, he was talking to a well built light skinned guy with sandy colored hair, he had a fresh shaven stubble and his eyes were filled with energy and life unlike Julian's, he smiled when he saw me and I instantly smiled back, he looked so warm and kind so it was not a hard thing to be swayed by his charms.

"Hello there, Mamacita." He instantly used a Spanish line on me because he had already observed my Latina features, he had already tickled my fancy by being a keen observer.

"I am sorry, I do not know you, sir" I stated it politely and even with a smile so that it wouldn't come off as rude but Julian was already laughing.

"Burn!" he said under his breath before he made the proper introductions.

"Bring those papers to me, Diana, this is my best friend Felix and Felix, this is my personal assistant; Diana." he introduced us to each other, so lifelessly as if he had no interest in our conversation anymore, Felix wasn't put off by my response, instead, he felt rejuvenated.

"Now that you know me, can I now call you Mamacita?" he said as he reached for my hand, I gave it to him and he kissed it before I could say anything.

I heard a small grunt from Julian's corner but I waved it off as my imagination because he was still busy sheafing through the papers.

"Sure, but I prefer being called by my name though." I looked at Julian and I saw him smile for a moment but his eyes were still fixed on the papers he was compiling.

"So, you are the new P.A to this bad boy?" he asked me with a knowing smirk, I answered him comically.

"So it may seem, sir."

"Please, don't call me sir." He corrected me.

One wanted to be addressed with respect while the other was carefree.

"Okay, Felix."

"Yeah."

"Can I go now sir?" I directed the question to my boss and he waved me off.

"Nice meeting you, Felix."

I walked out of the room and I left the handsome Felix to gape at my figure as I swung my hips with extra effort.

I had treated Felix like that because I didn't want my boss to think that I was slacking on the job on the first day and also because I couldn't be caught flirting with either a client or even worse, the best friend of my boss.

I sat at my desk and tried to wait out the remaining fifteen minutes that I had left.

I wasn't allowed to use a phone during work hours except it's the office tab or a landline.

The clock chimed at 4:30 and I instantly packed up my things and I started to move as if I was in a rush hour, I avoided eye contact until I got outside and I hired a cab that will take me to the tech shop that Carl worked, I close earlier than him now because of my new job.

"This is a pleasant surprise." he remarked with delight in his tone when he saw me, I hugged him and he sniffed me as if he was a dog.

"I felt like making you smile and you know that's always a sight to see."

"You are looking different, you look amazing and what cologne is that?"

He was just accessing my body and I instantly felt embarrassed.

"Can we just go? The movie starts in a couple of minutes." I reminded him and he instantly got out of his Tech clothes and changed into a suit that I wasn't expecting to see.

Carl had taken his time to get ready but it was all under ten minutes, he had combed his hair back in a slick manner and his nerdy glasses matched the suit perfectly, we found a cab and we were on our way to the cinema.

"You brought a suit to work?" I asked him with a coy smile, he adjusted his bow-tie nervously.

"Yeah, I thought that I was going to change then show up at your restaurant looking all dashing, you spoiled the surprise by showing up at my workplace looking even more stunning."

My heart fluttered at his words and I was greedy for more compliments.

"You are so sweet." I pecked his cheeks and he smiled sheepishly.

"Why didn't you wear the dress that you told me about?" he inquired as his eyes raked at my body hungrily, Madame Othello had predicted such an outcome.

"I wanted to put in more effort into looking good for you, is there anything wrong with the dress?"

"No babe, there is nothing wrong with this one, as a matter of fact, it's even better."

I grinned at him and I gave his hand a small squeeze as the cab stopped at the front of the cinema.

"I will wear that one some other time, specially for you." I said with a seductive purr, he breathed heavily and he looked outside his window uneasily, it was going to be a fun date night.
