Once he opened his eyes again, he was greeted by a prompt, asking him if he wanted to switch classes.
"A level 10 privilege, huh. This is a one-time chance only. This is the chance for those who are hesitant in their class to be given the opportunity to change the class that they think is more suitable for their playstyle."
But for Ranz, he skipped it without a second thought. He already invested in Strength and Vitality so there was no point in changing class now.
'If I wanted to become an archer, I should have invested in Dexterity from the beginning, or if I wanted to become a mage, I should have invested in Intelligence, and Agility if I wanted to become an assassin. Most players would wait till they reached level 10 before they distribute their extra points. But for me, I already distributed my extra points to Strength and Vitality. In the first place, I had no intention of changing class.'
After skipping the class-changed prompt, another prompt welcomed him.
[Entered Lightwood Village]
Ranz saw himself sitting near a well. Here is where he logged out a while ago. His current location was in the southeast of the village.
He sighed in relief. "Thankfully, I don't need to skydive again."
Looking at the map, he learned that the nearest town to this village was the Everpass Town on the north. It was his original destination supposedly if those two worthless players didn't intervene in his landing. It looked like he needed to travel there. However, before that, he needed to visit a shop.
Fortunately, after researching on the internet a while ago, he found out that there was a shop in this village. It was located in the southern area. A few blocks away from the intersection.
It wasn't far from his current location, he only needed a few minutes of walk to arrive there.
Before moving, he caught a glimpse of the sky. It was a cloudless blue and orange sky, indicating the sun was nearing the opposite horizon. However, Ranz also noticed a gathering of dark clouds to the north.
"It seems like a storm is about to happen…" he whispered.
Regardless, he wondered if the people from the Red Phantom Guild already left the village. Hopefully, they did.
While walking towards the shop, he met some agitated players on the road. He lowered the cloth he used as a hood a little to partially hide his face. At the same time, he secretly listened to their conversation as they passed by.
"Really? Everyone was gathering in the northern part of the village right now?"
"Yes, yes… and the one who is in charge is a level 20 player only."
"What do you think is the reason?"
"Uh, I heard something not long ago. It seemed there was a gathering of monsters on the north."
"What? Could it be…"
"Exactly what is in your mind. That's why... if you don't want to die early in this game, you come with me. Let's leave this place together."
Ranz knitted his brows when he heard it. He quickly called out to them.
"Hey, you two, wait!"
The two looked at him at the same time. Their faces were seemingly asking him… What you need?
"Yes?" Responded one of them.
"Is what you said true?" Ranz asked.
"Yes. Uh, if you love your account, come with us too. There's no time to explain. Let's hurry! This village is about to be destroyed. Let's head to the Redsand Village to the east. It's the nearest village from here."
Ranz frowned slightly.
"Uh, sorry. I can't go with you. I still have things I need to do."
"Bro, this village will soon fall into chaos."
"C-Chaos?"
'Could it be an event?'
He thought.
"Yes. Chaos. There will be a big event in this place soon. Monsters will invade this village."
'As expected, it was really an event. But, monsters are about to invade this place!? It gives me a frightening chill on my spine.'
"In that case, I need to hurry to my destination," Ranz left immediately. He quickened his pace towards the shop.
While walking, he noticed something, specifically to the players.
'The warrior class doesn't seem to be popular in this game.'
He guessed it was because of the low agility the warrior class had.
With the exception of the high-level players he had encountered, he had only seen mostly archer, assassin, and mage class players since this morning.
Anyhow, although he couldn't find anything regarding his Talent, he had a strong feeling that it was what it was.
Ranz arrived at the place after a few minutes. In front of him, he saw a stall. The owner used a beast hide as a mattress and maroon cloth as a roof. Standing beside the stall was a vertical board with words written on it.
[Dave's Buy and Sell Shop]
On top of the mattresses lay a wide variety of weapons.
"If ya want to buy, don't be shy to choose, sir traveler," said the middle-aged vendor in a calm and very friendly tone.
The seller wore a maroon robe over his white tunic dress and a turban for his head. A beardy face and a slight mustache.
Ranz couldn't help but think that this man looked like a street vendor. Nonetheless, this person was just an NPC.
Aside from weapons, he also saw armor and accessories. There were also some bottles with different colors of liquid. All items were properly displayed.
The price of each item could be seen right next to them.
"Can I hold them?" Ranz beckoned on the weapons as he asked this.
"Sure, ya take your time," the vendor replied with an amiable smile.
Ranz smiled then he took the knife first.
[Stone Knife]
It's just a normal tier knife with just a normal design as well. He saw the price of 5,000 crownies from the place where he picked it up.
Unfortunately, he only had 958 crownies and another 1,000 crownies inside the bag. So, in total, he only has about 1,958 crownies. Not enough to buy a knife.
Though, that's not why he came here. He did not come here to buy. He came here to prove his suspicion.
Once the knife was in his hand, he checked his status right away. And sure enough, in his class, the name Warrior and Assassin were written on it.
He also noticed his skills. There were additional two assassin skills on it. Upon seeing them, his body heated with inexplicable pleasure.
