Chapter 27 - <Invisible Push>

GWARRR!!!

An angry Hobgoblin roared.

After killing the stunned goblins, another group of ordinary goblins came to attack the Black Knight. However, with his current stats, the Black Knight quickly defeated them.

Vince and the other players were like statues. They forgot to move from their position and even forgot to breathe. A notification appeared in their visions, demanding them to breathe or else they would be running out of oxygen.

It wasn't like they couldn't breathe. Of course, they could. However, they were in awe at the ongoing battle.

They just stared there as if watching a movie.

The battle continued for several minutes. But it just seemed like a one-sided slaughter. One by one, the ordinary goblins became pixelated.

One player against so many monsters. Everything looked like a dream.

The players believed that the Black Knight's level was already high because he slew the ordinary goblins effortlessly.

If they only knew the truth, they would definitely be dumbfounded as hell. Would they believe that the person behind the glossy jet-black armor was just a low-level player like most of them?

Ranz couldn't help but get excited at what was happening. He was very lucky that he got this side-quest.

Given the high stats of his equipment, he suddenly became very strong. His stats rose sharply. Even the monsters that should have been the same level as he— seemed low-level in front of him.

Since his stats increase, his body becomes stronger, faster, taut, and so on.

He felt a mysterious feeling. His body seemed so light and so easy to maneuver. It was only here in the game world that he felt such a feeling. Apparently, he was overflowing with energy at this moment.

It seemed like he was just spraying insecticides on the insects around him. His every attack was deadly to them.

On top of that, because he could quickly kill the goblins, his XP also increases rapidly. So notifications of his leveling up and increasing his Meridian Power arrived successively.

"Haha! Great. This looks like I've been cheating!" Ranz said cheerfully to himself as he attacked the goblins around.

He couldn't help but grin inside the helmet.

At that moment, a player shouted.

"Oh no! A Hobgoblin is now attacking! "

The Hobgoblin looks scary. So anyone would be wary of them. Even Vince himself wasn't sure if he could beat one of them.

Most of his items were Uncommon-tier only and others were still Common-tier. So his stats weren't that high yet for him to say for sure that he could beat a Hobgoblin.

Ranz felt a slight tremor on the ground. He immediately turned around and blocked the large Iron Blade horizontally overhead. Not only did his physical stats have improved, but his senses also became sharp as well.

Klang!

A painful sound in the ears greeted him as his sword blocked the masculine goblin's attack.

"A Hobgoblin?" Ranz asked. His hand trembled slightly from the force of the encounter.

"Surely the strength of a Hobgoblin should not be underestimated!" Ranz muttered.

"Hooob!!!" The Hobgoblin shouted as it increased the strength of its hand to push even further its weapon which was blocked by Ranz's weapon.

*Crack!*

Ranz's eyes widened slightly under the helmet he was wearing when he felt his sword start to break.

'It looks like this sword won't last long. The is running low.'

"Wait! Everyone, look! Doesn't the Black Knight's weapon seem to be low-tier only?"

One player noticed it.

"Eh? Y-you're right. It's a normal-tier greatsword!"

"What?! He's battling them using a low-tier sword only. I'm hooked! He's my idol now!"

"M-Me too!"

"Count me in!"

"Black Knight, fight!"

One player shouted. It was followed by others.

"Fight!"

"Black Knight, fight!"

"Fight!"

They repeatedly screamed. The players who have been trembling with fear just recently had suddenly become his cheering squads.

Vince couldn't help himself to admire the confidence the Black Knight displayed. But, who could this Black Knight be? He only saw him for the first time.

Even in towns where high-level players often hang out, he didn't even once see him there. Only now did he really see him.

Kirk! Kirk!

The gritting noise from their weapons intensified as both the Black Knight and Hobgoblin tried to push each other using their weapons. Sparks could even be seen flying.

[Level 19 Hobgoblin] [Hp: 500/500]

'As expected of a Hobgoblin. Its strength is far stronger compared to the ordinary ones,' Ranz thought.

Ranz noticed his level had already reached level 19. That was so quick. He almost could not believe it. He was just level 10 a moment ago. And it wasn't even a day yet since he logged in to this game.

To his knowledge, level 7 was the highest that newbie players could reach on their first full day in the game. Therefore, his improvement was truly surprising.

Regardless, the Hobgoblin in front of him was level 19 as well! Yet, the power of the Hobgoblin's attack that was transmitted in his hands was truly tremendous.

Even with his high-stats equipment, he had difficulty pushing it aside. A commendable opponent.

'In that case!' The eyes in Ranz's helmet glowed brighter at that moment. 'I will use that second skill of the Warrior Class!'

His body slightly glowed in radiant blue color for a brief moment. However, after it happened, the Hobgoblin knocked back a step away and it seemed a little dizzy.

"That's… Invisible Push!" Vince exclaimed upon seeing it.

"I-Invisible Push?" Someone among the players repeated Vince's words.

After the appearance of the Black Knight, the goblins lost interest in them. So as of now, they were not in danger of getting attacked.

Without looking at the person, Vince started explaining. "Yes. Invisible Push is the second basic skill of the Warrior class. Although it deals no damage to the enemies hit by it, it generates an invisible force to push the nearby opponents and turns them dizzy in a second."

"Oh, no wonder the Hobgoblin was suddenly knocked back a step."

Without wasting the opportunity, Ranz attacked with a slash.

Fwoosh!

His attack landed and dealt 280 points damage on it.

"GWAR!" The Hobgoblin screamed in agony when a big diagonal wound appeared on its body.

Though, it wasn't enough to kill it. That's why Ranz followed up with another attack. Another diagonal wound registered on its body. Now, the two wounds intersected and formed a big glowing X on the Hobgoblin's bare body.
