Mary and Shu walked through the forest.
On their way toward the mountain, they encountered many beasts. There was a pack of minor dragons, goblins, demon hounds, and even one Orochi.
They were close to a clearing, and Mary considered staying there but then remembered what happened the last time they were in this clearing and told Shu that they should find a safer place.
They walked for a while, but then there was a scream from the direction of the clearing.
Shu's ears spiked up, and he looked in the scream's direction. He seemed hesitant to leave Mary behind. But after a short apology, he quickly dashed toward the noise.
********
"Shit!"
What can he do? He is not strong enough to kill this monster and is short on energy.
Alexander did his best to get out of the closing maw of the beast. He could keep doing his best, but he is not fast enough.
"What would he do if he were here?"
Alexander asked himself, thinking of that zero-potential guy who beat him.
"Help!"
Alexander shouted.
"He judged me for attacking people, but would he help someone like me? A murderer. Would he save everyone?"
Alexander asked out loud, knowing no one was there to answer.
"Are you okay? Do you have some rope?"
Alexander heard a voice. Mindlessly, he created a rope and threw one end out of the closing jaw.
He held the other side of the rope and was quickly pulled out of the enclosing mouth.
As he reached out, he and his savior locked eyes.
It was none other than the zero-potential guy!
He really would save anybody! What a dumb ass...
"Shu, is everything okay?"
Alexander saw a young girl around their age ask Shu.
Shu was staring at Alexander.
"Hey, what's up?"
Alexander asked Shu.
"What are you doing here, Alexander?"
Shu asked, and the young man felt hostility from Shu.
Even Mary was confused by Shu's hostility.
"Do you two know each other?"
Mary acted dumb to break the ice.
"Shu is the first guy to defeat me in the last two years, and I'm thankful for it."
Alexander said and bowed.
Shu's hostility seemed to lower as he understood that Alexander was sincere.
"Can I join you?"
Alexander asked. He was low on energy after his escape. He needed others to help him.
Shu may have saved him, but he would save anybody. Alexander wasn't sure whether Shu would let him join them.
Mary looked at the scene unfolding and understood she was overlooking something. Alexander helping them escape from that beast is what made Shu trust him.
After a minute of deliberation, Shu had an answer.
"Yes, but only if you promise never to kill again."
Shu said, and Alexander was surprised. He was sure that with how long it took. Shu, he would refuse.
"Yes, thank you, I swear on the name of my tem... I swear that I will never kill again."
Alexander said happily.
This guy would truly save anybody. Alexander chuckled to himself.
Hearing Alexander say "tem," Mary wondered what he was about to say. Was it related to the temple-knight uniform he wore during the final battle?
"Great! The more the Mary-er."
Shu said happily in response to Alexander's agreement.
Mary was embarrassed, and Alexander noticed it.
"Do you want me to punch him for you?"
"No need."
Mary answered politely and chuckled.
********
They kept walking toward the mountain and climbed up to a large flat area perfect to camp for the night.
They started setting up the camp when a slight oversight on Mary's part occurred.
They all felt a splitting headache and were going through unimaginable pain.
It took Mary a few seconds to remember that this was when Danniel removed the limiter, but by the time she realized. She couldn't handle it anymore and passed out.
********
Two beings with mass power went through a door-shaped rift.
An emerald-eyed, red-haired, half-demoness, and half-vampire. Every few minutes, her eyes flickered with red light, and she wore a red dress designed to emphasize her... curves while also not interfering with her movement during a fight.
And a tan Greek demon with brown hair and grassy-green eyes, wearing a mix between European knight armor and a suit. He held a sword that bent the reality around it and made things more... chaotic.
The two of them looked at the three unconscious teenagers.
Feeling the pressure in the air, they understood reality was dense around them.
"How do all three of them have divine gifts?"
The woman asked as she and the man by her side felt the reality around them becoming denser with every step they took.
Reality is made of a force called divinity. While magic allows you to manipulate minor aspects of reality, divinity lets the user reshape reality to his will nearly freely.
Divine gifts are gifts of god that rely on divinity and not magic, so often, they allow users to manipulate aspects of reality and sometimes even allow total control over divinity. This is why Danniel prohibited letting mortals hold them- because a mortal with the wrong gift can destroy the limiter or even the world.
"I don't know. I knew that only two of them had divine gifts."
The man answered. He sighed deeply because there was nothing he would like more than just finishing this mission thoroughly and quickly, but he felt that his hopes wouldn't be met.
"Alexander of the Dreamer's realm, Mary Mob of the godless realm, and Shual Adom of the Demon's realm, we are here under official orders from the Demon god to help you. Please don't resist."
The man said as he summoned a long sword in his hand.
"I don't think they can hear you."
The woman said sarcastically as she put her back against his shoulder and leaned on him.
The man ignored her and swiped his blade in the air. There was a tremor, and it seemed reality was shaking for a moment, and then the reality around them became less dense in a moment, and the targets started recovering.
Soon after, the three teenagers recovered and looked at the two people sitting on the rocks a few meters from them.
"So, who are you?"
Shu asked them.
The two people smirked as they rose from the stone they were sitting on.
"I am Chaos the one hundred and sixty-third, the right hand of the Demon god, king of the Greek demons, wielder of the sword of Chaos!"
The man answered and summoned his sword in his hand.
The air around the sword seemed to vibrate. The sword reminded Shu of Dam's sword though this one was way stronger.
"I am Mira Baal, the half-demon half-vampire witch!"
The woman answered, and her eyes glowed with the color red.
"So, kids. First lesson, who are you?"
Chaos said with a big smile.
Shu seemed to like that method of introduction and was the first one to go along.
"I am Shual Adom, a Gifted. Stepson of George Adom, follower of the Demon god, savior of Birnin Mutuwa."
Shu proclaimed pridefully.
"Good first try, but try to focus on your achievements, so don't mention your father, and try to say things that will make sense everywhere, so don't mention every kingdom you save."
Chaos said.
"Let me try. I am Alexander of the Dreamer god's realm, a gifted, run away from the inescapable Anquan Jianyu."
Alexander said.
"Overall, pretty good, though it ain't quite interesting. Luckily for you, as you will have more adventures, you will also have more impressive achievements."
Chaos said.
All eyes were on Mary. She can't do this. She might spill the fact that she time-traveled. She thought of what she should do and remembered her previous answer.
"I am Mary Mob of the Godless realm. Sorry, I have nothing more I want to reveal and nothing else that I can say."
"Lame! Though it's your choice."
Mira said.
"Now that we have finished our introductions, I'll explain what we will be doing for the next month."
Chaos started explaining.
"Shu, you were given the power of god's prophecy as part of a deal between Danny and the other six main gods. This gift will let you take a look into the past and see the future, though right now you can't control it, so it's overwhelming you, and memories from your future are affecting your actions."
Chaos explained Shu's gift, and Shu finally understood the reason for all the weird things that happened to him.
Mary remembered Shu's power turning off during the fight against Antony.
"Sir Chaos, is there something that could turn off Shu's gift?"
Mary asked.
"Maybe if it is too chaotic, his gift will overload and stop working. But not even me and the demon god together will be able to make things this chaotic. So you don't need to worry."
Chaos speculated, and Mary understood again how impossibly strong is Chaos The First.
"Alexander, you were given the power of god's creation as part of some treason attempt by an unknown god. It's unknown who gave you your power. It's a power that will let you create anything you can think of. It is a fairly new gift, so I don't know its limitations."
Chaos explained Alexander's gift to him. And Alexander was intrigued by the fact that he was given this gift by some mistake or treason.
"Mary, I wasn't told you have a gift, and I'll need to talk to Danny about it..."
Chaos started to explain Mary's situation to her.
"What!? I am not a Gifted!"
Mary said. She was lying. Last time she had no clue about god's past, but now she has already used it.
"Unfortunately, it seems you are, and your gift seems to resemble those of Shu and Alexander, so you probably got it for the same reason as Alexander."
Chaos explained Mary's situation.
Now that Chaos explained their gifts to them. He went to send a message to Danniel.
"By the way, since you are gifted, you are naturally stronger than the average member of your species, and gifts give their holders immortality. So, in short, welcome to immortality, kids."
Mira, who stayed where she was before, said. Shu's eyes lightened up, and he heard what was probably the best news he had ever heard up to that point.
Chaos came back and said.
"Mary, Great for you! Ishtar will be the one who will help you. She will arrive tomorrow. Shu, you will receive your training from me. I will help you learn how to focus while using your power mid-battle. Alexander, you seem to know how to use your gift but have an issue with your limitations, so Mira will help you work on that."
Chaos explained what they would be learning.
"How long will this take?"
Alexander asked.
"You are not used to being immortal yet? You have no time limit, though it would be preferred if we finish in less than three years."
Chaos answered calmly.
"Three years?!"
The three of them all shouted in surprise at the news. Mary expected it, but she still needed to keep the act.
Mira and Chaos smirked at the sight of the "kids" being surprised at how long they would be away training.
