Mary fell through the floor, and the dark and green world around her faded away into pure darkness.
She fell for a few seconds. And then she noticed a bright, shimmering light at the end of this endless tunnel.
The shimmering light was too bright for her, and she closed her eyes. When she opened them again, she felt a gust of wind and saw a large man standing by her side.
He had eyes black as the abyss and hair red as blood. He is Armageddon, the man who raised, trained, and taught her everything she knew.
"Are you okay? You seem out of it."
Armageddon asked her. This reminded her of a sad truth, in a few minutes, he will die, and history will remember him as a villain, even though he was a caring man to those he deems his friends.
"I am okay."
Mary answered.
"Wait! This aura..."
Armageddon said, and his eyes glowed. He used his ability to sense creatures' aura. He is among the strongest mortals with this ability.
He started running. Usually, no one with potential under three hundred years could keep up with him, but Mary was trained to do just that.
She followed him, knowing that every minute now, she would meet Shu.
They reached a clearing not far from the beach, and she saw him.
"Thomas! You finally found your daughter. How does it feel?"
Armageddon chuckled. He may act evil, but truthfully he told her that he was paid to take her, and that's the only reason he didn't return her to her father.
"Why are you here?!"
Her father asked, his eyes full of anger and hatred, he seemed to be trying to keep a calm composure, but it wasn't working for him.
This was a sad moment in her eyes. The two men she regarded as her fathers were on the verge of killing each other.
"I sensed the steps of someone who walks similarly to Adom. Who was it?!"
Armageddon asked with a deep voice that he usually kept only for when he was furious.
His deep voice tremored through the ground, and they were all frozen in fear.
The sight of Shu frozen scared her quite a bit since he was usually daring to a fault.
"If no one answers, I'll have to massacre everyone here."
Armageddon said, but none of them answered him. It seemed like Shu wanted to say it was him, but he could barely move.
"Armageddon!"
A man yelled, and Armageddon's eyes opened widely. If she remembers correctly, this is George Adom, she has only seen him a few times, and the last time she saw him was in the fight against Antony.
"It really is you."
Armageddon said with a smile and then dashed to attack George.
George Adom, even though he wasn't as large as Armageddon, was still huge compared to the average human.
A fight between these two massive men, two legends from the previous tournament, has started.
George unsheathed his sword, and Mary felt tremendous pressure emerging from the old man.
The sword emitted a weird vibration that shook the air around it.
He took a step forward, and with a single swipe, he slew Armageddon.
Even though Mary knew it was coming, it still shook her.
George Adom exchanged words with Shu, and they both chuckled, but she couldn't hear what was said.
"George Adom! Great job slaying your old enemy!"
Mary and everyone else heard a voice she hoped she would never hear again.
Because this shithead couldn't shut his mouth, she and Shu died.
"Danniel warned me, but are you really going to try taking control of everything?"
George asked with an expression of secondhand embarrassment for the weather god.
Antony chose to let his actions do his talking, and a large gate opened.
Thousands of troops passed through it.
"Hahaha! Try and stop me if you want, but thanks to Danny's system, no mortal can match a god."
Antony declared loudly.
"It's okay. I'll play the game fair just like everybody else. Though, just like everyone else, I'm allowed to use my full power."
Antony added.
Strong winds grabbed them and took them away.
She tried resisting the wind but couldn't hold against it much longer. That's when she saw him.
Shu ran at full speed and took her hand.
Even though she knew it would happen, she was still startled by his sudden move, and he smirked at her.
He tried grabbing Thomas's hand as well. But he didn't make it in time.
They were taken far away to a place neither of them knew, and they both passed out from the impact of the landing.
********
She started waking up as the shimmering sun passed through the tops of the trees and reached her sleeping face.
"What is this soft thing?"
She said as she felt a furry surface under her. The pain made her forget what was happening for a second.
Then, she opened her eyes and saw it wasn't a bed or a carpet. It was Shu.
This reminded her of when she was drunk and slept on Shu. To be honest, drunk her was right. Shu is a comfortable bed...
After another second, she understood what she was doing. She slept with Shu!
She quickly backed away, and while backing away, she accidentally kicked his head and woke him up.
"Urgh."
He exclaimed in pain from the kick to his head.
He looked around him to check the environment around him, and when he saw her, he smiled a big smile that seemed like the most "Shu thing" he could have done.
"Hi, my name is Shual Adom. What's your name?"
He said out of nowhere and startled her. She never considered that she would have to rebuild all the relationships she had made in the last three and a half years.
"My name is Mary Mob. It's nice to meet you, Shu."
She replied and remembered how scared she was the first time they met.
"Umm, where do you think we are?"
Shu asked her out of nowhere. It seemed like something he would do, but does he have no tact? They just met, and he already trusts her!
"I think we are in the Demon Forest."
She answered casually.
"So, how do we get to the new lands from here?"
Shu asked her.
This time she understood her role as a navigator and didn't complain like last time.
"Well, if we are in the Demon Forest, then we need to head to the Mountain of No Returns and then slide to the Broken Valley. From there, we should sneak into one of the carts of the..."
"What was it? I think I lost you."
Shu asked her, And she felt pain. She put a lot of effort into this explanation and forgot he didn't listen.
"Sigh... Just follow me."
She said, and they both started walking together.
