They were on the boat for a week and a half with nearly nothing to note.
The only notable thing was when Mary asked Shu about the figures she saw when they met again after their three years of training.
"Do I see an old me with a scar on his right eye in the future? What led you to ask that?!"
Shu asked Mary with a bewildered tone.
"Just answer the question, please."
Mary said with a pushy tone that had a bit of desperation in it.
Shu picked up on that desperation and tried using his power to the maximum and give her an answer.
"Sigh... I can't. I can't see anything after a week from now."
Shu answered with disappointment.
"So whatever that bast... shithead is planning is affecting your power?"
Mary asked.
"No clue."
Shu answered quickly.
********
After reaching the shore, they thanked the captain and his crew and were back on their mission.
"Asshole! We reached the new lands. Where are we supposed to go?"
Mary asked Danniel, the demon god.
"Go to where you originally met Shu in the new lands. There's a port city there. I want you to enter the castle without anyone knowing who you are."
Danniel answered.
"Why can't we let anyone know who we are?"
Mary asked, confused by the weird request.
"Please give me three times when you will unquestionably trust me."
Danniel requested.
"Sigh... That means this time is one of the three, and you will owe me for each of them individually. Are you sure you want this?"
Mary said. Since she felt this was a prime opportunity to exploit the situation and get control over him.
"Yes."
Danniel said with a confident tone.
After hearing his confident tone, she wasn't sure if she was making the right choice.
"Dam, do you remember where is the place you were when you first came here."
Mary asked.
"From the shoreline, I saw when we were on the ship. I think it's about a day's walk."
Dam answered.
"Lead the way then."
Mary said, and they all started walking to where Dam guided them, to where Danniel wanted them to go.
********
Mary explained to them what Danniel asked of her.
They walked for almost an entire day and seemed like walking corpses, but at last, they reached the city they were sent to.
Outside the city was a large military camp with many soldiers wearing Antony's symbol that looked like a circle surrounded by lightning in the shape of the sun.
"Is this why Danniel told us to keep our identities hidden?"
Mary mumbled while they walked closer to the city's front gates.
When they reached the front gate, they saw something surprising. Both guards were beastmen, and both of them didn't wear proper armor. With whatever the symbol of the city is.
"Who are you!"
One of the guards asked.
They had no idea what to answer until Alexander stepped forward with his hand behind his back and said.
"Devotees of the dreamer god."
"Can you show me your divine crest?"
The same guard asked.
Alexander lifted the sleeve from the hand behind his back and put it forward. On that hand, there was a rune that only temple monks of the dreamer god had.
"Oh, sorry. You just can't know these days."
The guard said with an embarrassed smile and signaled to the other guard to let them through.
"Hahaha. Tell me about it."
Alexander said with a fake smile.
They were about to walk inside when Mary decided to ask the guards a question.
"Excuse me, but how can we meet the city lord?"
She asked politely.
"The city lord is missing, but you can go see the acting lord every day of the week."
The guard answered with a genuine smile, and Mary thanked him right before they entered the city.
********
They looked for an inn and found the only inn in the city.
There were other inns, but along with most of the buildings in the city, the other inns were also just in the construction state.
At first, it seemed weird that after only three years, there would be a whole city built where they first reached the new lands, but after seeing that most of it was still in the building state and it wasn't as much a city as it was a glorified construction site.
The line at the inn wasn't too long. They waited only a few minutes before they were standing in front of the reception.
"How many people are you?"
The receptionist said with a slow, monotone, and indifferent tone.
"Six."
Mary answered.
"Until when?"
The receptionist asked with the same tone.
"We don't know."
Mary said with an awkward tone.
"Business until further notice, then. This will be a hundred for two rooms or a hundred and fifty for three rooms."
The receptionist said.
Mary looked at everyone else in the group and saw Dam lifting two fingers to signal her to choose two rooms.
"Two rooms."
Mary answered.
"Put the Money here."
The receptionist placed a platter on the desk.
Mary placed money on the platter, and the receptionist gave her the keys to the two rooms.
The group went toward their rooms, and Mary didn't think she could ever feel more relieved than at that moment.
They placed their things in the rooms and agreed to decide what to do the day after.
********
After sleeping through the night, they all gathered in one of the rooms and talked about what they will do from that point.
"We have six days before the time that the demon god told us to get to him."
Mary explained.
"Then we can take a day before we go to the castle, perfect!"
Shí Hóu said and grabbed Shu as he went out of the room.
"Wait, Shí Hóu!"
Both Shu and Mary shouted at the same time.
"Okay, you are all free to go. Just be sure to be back by tomorrow at noon."
Mary said, and they all quickly left the room.
