After making my way out of my husband's house.
I smile in achievement.
I had thought that it was going to be hard for me because I'm a contracted wife, but after seeing Ace I figured out that I don't have to be scared anymore.
I made my way back to the hospital to go and visit my younger sister.
On getting there, I figured out that my younger sister has now fully recovered.
"Big sis! Where have you been?" Bellatrix asked me, as she stared at me with her big brown eyes, complimenting her brown hair.
She's more like me. Taking in my beauty.
If you don't know me, then you might end up saying that she's my child.
"Well! I went to see a friend." I lied.
Yeah! My baby sister is just six years old, but she speaks like an adult.
It's crazy, but I do tell my younger sister about my day. About things that are bothering me, because she's the only family member that I can talk to.
Currently, I feel a pain in my chest, because I have lied to her.
"You don't have any friends remember?" She said, before fully sitting down properly on the bed.
Once again, I'm reminded that my life is lonely.
I don't have anyone by my side who I can call my friend. This is the reason why I take my younger sister as my best friend.
"The person is just a new friend," I stated while caressing her hair.
She became quiet while observing me in absolute silence.
I have a morning shift, so I'm expected to be at the restaurant this afternoon. "Let's go to the restaurant Bellatrix." I declared, before grabbing her school bag.
"I'm hungry," Bellatrix grumbles while grabbing her colors from the bed.
"Didn't the hospital give you breakfast?" I asked because before leaving her this morning, I paid the nurse in charge of Bellatrix to provide food for her.
"No. I have only drank water today." My baby sister replied sincerely, and I felt my heart sinking.
They didn't bother to even give her food, despite the fact I gave them the morning to prepare breakfast for my sister. "Let's go." I declared angrily.
I'm going to teach that nurse not to do such a thing again. After giving her fifty dollars, she still didn't provide anything for my sis.
My baby sister had to run, to keep up with my pace.
I knocked on the doctor's office door, and after some seconds he invited me in.
"Good afternoon doctor! I would love to see the nurse who's in charge of taking care of my sister." I demanded while trying to keep my voice intact.
"Is there a problem Miss?" The doctor asked while pointing at his chair. "Please sit." He said politely.
"Thanks for the offer, but I prefer to stand." I decline. "So where's the nurse?" I asked.
"She's off duty today! Did something happen?"
I scuffed.
"Of course. I gave the nurse fifty dollars to order something nice for my sister, and she let the little one starve." I yelled, not able to get hold of my anger.
"Ohh that's bad." The doctor said calmly. He shifted his gaze towards Bellatrix and then he smiled. "Bellatrix! Why don't we get something nice to eat?" He asked her.
'Is this doctor for real? I mean can't he apologize?'
"Wait! Are you not supposed to call the nurse and ask her why she exhibits such behavior? If you don't correct her wrongdoings, then she will continue to exhibit such behavior." I declare sincerely while trying to reason things out with the doctor.
"I'm so sorry miss but I can't warn her in front of you! And I believe she has her reasons." The doctor declared.
Why? Is he kidding me?
"Are you telling me that one of her reasons is to keep a six years old child from not eating? Don't you have an idea of the current time? It's already two thirty pm, and a kid who's as young as she hasn't eaten?" I barked furiously.
"Now tell me! What would you feel if someone did that to our kid?"
"I don't have one." He quickly replied.
Well! Just as I had thought.
"Don't ever open your mouth to tell a patient that a nurse who's at fault has her reasons," I advise, before grabbing my younger sister's hand. "And just so you know! I'm going to visit this hospital to get back my fifty dollars, and if I do. I want the money to be provided to me instantly." I declared, and with that, I made my way out of the hospital.
Since I'm expected to be at my workplace an hour ago. I decided to run as fast as my feet could carry me.
After stepping down from the cab, I paid for my fair before carrying my sister to the restaurant I work in.
I sat her down and immediately went inside the restaurant bathroom to change into my working outfit.
It's a white short printed skirt and a white belly top.
I packed my hair into a ponytail, and I wore a white ribbon that had a cat design attached to it.
The restaurant made me dress like a doll, and finally, I had the chance to wear my medicated glass.
Staying up all night affects my brain and my eyesight.
On my feet lies a beautiful white long booth that reaches my thigh.
Since the skirt exposes my thigh, the booth is used to cover my pretty lap.
Stepping out of the bathroom, the first person I saw was my Manager.
There was nothing good about the frown on his face, and I knew for sure that I'm doomed.
"You are late Natasha." My manager said while smiling my way.
"It won't happen again." I pleaded because the smile on his face tells me the worst.
"Go and attend to the customers. We will discuss later." He said.
I slightly nod my head, before making my way back to where customers have been seated.
I went to the kitchen to grab some noodles for my baby sister, and I have the intention of paying for the noodles.
I sat down beside my sister and started feeding her so that she would be comfortable because Bellatrix isn't comfortable with a crowded surroundings.
"What the hell are you doing Natasha? You should take orders." My manager, who I guessed had been keeping an eye on me said,
"Just give me five minutes boss. She's almost done." I said while telling him to hold on for a while.
"Get back to work Natasha." He commanded while pointing his index finger at an empty table.
"I'll! Just give me some time." I pleaded.
"Resume your work immediately, unless you are fired." He yelled.
'I mean he yelled to get the attention of all those present.'
"Who the hell did you think you are? I said give me some time, and you yell to get the attention of all those present!" I said calmly, before rising from my seat.
"Before you fire me from this job! I Q-U-I-T." I stated, dragging my last statement so that it can be stuck inside his head.
"And as for this ugly uniform you always force me to put on..... I'll kindly pull it right now if that's what you want." I declare, before taking off my clothes, not minding that eyes were on me.
