"Did you... nevermind." I stutter, before shaking my head sideways.
"You are going to pay me a few dollars if I drive you to your workplace!" I stated, sounding as if I'm saying the fact.
"I didn't ask for your help." He said, sounding displeased.
"You are going to pay me." I sneered.
"Why?" Came Ace's useless outburst.
Seriously! Is he for real? Does he want me to give him a free ride?
"Why what? I'm the one who's going to drive you to your so-called destination, and you are going to pay me for that okay." I utter out with a loud voice, before stepping out of the house.
I was expecting Ace to perhaps follow behind me, but to my greatest surprise, he didn't.
I had to make my way back inside the house., and that was when I saw Ace making a phone call. "Is there a problem?" I question because besides driving him to work, I still have some other important things to take good care of.
He slowly removes the phone beside his ear, before frowning. "The last thing that I'm going to think of is getting inside a car with you." Ace barked, sounding as if he knows how to ride a car better than I
"And why's that?" I question, with my brows slightly arched.
"Did you even know how to ride a car?"
I scuffed, hearing his ridiculous outburst. "I failed driving class nine times, and you know what happened on the tenth time... I passed." I utter out while sounding proud of myself.
"I bet you passed by mistake." He smirks devilishly.
I have no time to play the childish game with him, so I decided that it was best if I just excuse myself, and make my way back to my room. "Anyway! You can find a driver for yourself okay. I have a busy schedule today." I declare, making my way towards the stairs.
It's a shame that I didn't show off this pretty suit of mine.
I was about to take the last step when the voice of someone made me halt instantly "Alright! I'll pay you a hundred dollars." Ace declares with a very loud voice.
I don't think I will be able to make a hundred dollars, even if I have to search for a job today.
Without thinking twice, I decided to go for it. I mean how hard can being a driver be.
"Let's go!" I said smiling, and Ace led the way towards the door.
He knows how to use his wheelchair very well because he rolled it until we got to the garage.
There was a car key in my hand, so I decided to press the button, to be able to know what car the key belongs to.
Finally! A black Lamborghini Aventador car started blinking.
There's already a well-leveled craft that Ace's wheelchair can use when entering the car.
I don't have to support his wheelchair, because the craft automatically comes out of the car, and it's more like a good label board that a wheelchair can roll on.
In no time, Ace was already seated inside the car.
I breathed in and out and decided to accelerate on the car engine.
"Are you sure you know how to ride a car?" Ace asked, staring at me through the rival mirror.
"I told you that I failed a driving class for nine good times and I passed....."
"Would you please stop being proud of your failure? Gush! you are disgusting." Ace uttered, as he cut me off from completing my previous statement.
I swallow my saliva hard, for I suddenly have the urge to smack his head so hard that he would groan in total pain.
At first, I found it difficult to ride in the car, but after some time I finally became at ease.
"I told you that I know how to drive Ace, so you should try to respectfully talk to me."
"The car has been a few meters away from the gate of the mansion for a long while now, and you still went ahead to call that driving?" He questions.
It's crazy that he always has something ill to reply to me whenever I speak.
"Pfft! By the way, where is your so-called destination?" I asked, trying to change the previous topic.
"De Los de Venta." He utters with a serious and cold voice.
His hazel eyes which I find freaking attractive are now as dead as that of a corpse. "Are you alright?" I question with a low voice while sounding caring.
No response came out of Ace's mouth, which caused me to become curious.
I'm still staring at his reflection in the rival mirror but I can't read his expression.
The only idea that suddenly came to my mind is that it would be best if I pull over. Besides, I'm paid to be his wife, so it would be a very great shame if I neglect my duty.
Pulling over at a space beside the road. I step down from the car and open the door of the passenger seat, where Ace is currently sitting down.
"Do you want me to drive you back home?" I whisper while squatting close to the door.
No response was heard, but instead, I heard him sniff his nose.
Is he crying?
Did I say something wrong?
I summon up the last courage left in me, and place my hand on his chin, raising his head upwards.
There were streams of tears all over his cheek, causing me to become worried.
For the first time in my life, I'm worried about someone who isn't my brother.
Truth be told. The only reason I'm worried is that I don't want him to kick me out of this job. "Are you having a heart attack?" I whisper because I don't know what to ask and what to do either.
"I'm... I'm doomed. The vein in my leg just shifts while you are driving, and it's going to make me completely disabled." He stutters, sniffing back his nose.
My heart immediately stopped working, because of what I had just heard.
I could hear my heartbeat, and I'm immobile. "I'll... I'll take you to the hospital." I stutter, before rushing to take the wheel.
I accelerated the car engine and was about to head straight to the hospital.
"Ha.... hahaha!" Ace laughs, and I don't see why he's laughing.
Is the vain problem making him mad?
"Do you know that you look like a rose?" Ace asked out of the blue.
Gush! I screwed up on my first day of work, and now my employee is running crazy.
"Ace!" I called out his name.
"Yup! That's my name." Ace replied.
Now I'm certain that he's having a mental problem.
I tried focusing on the road, but I couldn't because I was distracted.
Still driving my way towards the hospital. I felt a soft hand placed on my hair, and it belongs to Ace. "I'm just kidding Natasha." Ace said with a bold voice.
"Huh?" I mumble.
"It's a prank." He utters, and I think that I'm currently hearing strange things.
Damnit! I won't take that likely.
